Well i applied for the card on the Saturday before the Monday deadline and am still waiting for it to arrive!
I have chased Barclaycard over this and they say they are processing the new account and that I am entitled to the £50 offer (i should think so), but i can't spend on the card until I receive it, which will hopefully be before the 30th November!
Wonder if they're stalling so i can't spend on it...update soon.MARRIED MR E - 22nd Dec 2010 - technically now sazzye!:j

For anyone needing ammunition against Barclaycard concerning this offer, they still have the original details on their web site at this address:
http://www.barclaycard.co.uk/landing/platvoucher_oct.html?TC=AFMSP16418
If it disappears then I have saved it to my disk and will happily email a Zipped version to anyone who PM's me.
The following info comes from the T&C page, which you can reach from a link in the page I have provided the URL for above.

My purchase was made on 2/11, so my voucher request was due on Friday 16/11. As expected, nothing arrived nor on Saturday either, so I shall be ringing them tomorrow. It is interesting to see how casually they break their own T&C's: if it was the other way around, it would be all so different, of course. With luck, I should be able to connect up my new toy, a digital voice recorder with a USB interface, to my phone at work. I'll keep you posted. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

Used my card 31/10/07 still no voucher request form.
Just had a lengthy conversation with barclaycard customer service rep who just kept repeating 'the voucher will be sent within 28 days' at me. eventually he hung up on me when i insisted that their t & cs stated i should receive my voucher request form within 14 days.
rang the internet dept on 0844 5560105 and another rep gave me her word it would come within 28 days....
we shall see. i will be very annoyed if i dont get the voucher as the interest on the £1.09 purchase will cost me £14 over the 14 month BT period.Proud to be dealing with my debts!

I wrote a letter of complaint a week ago saying I could not get clarification of my £50 voucher and I was being told a voucher will arrive in 28 days, yet this is not the 14 day choice form.
Letter back promising reply by 22nd November so soon I should hear something.0 -
I've just rung Barclaycard. The first three calls were cut off on transfer. Altho' they couldn't confirm this (and it is difficult to find evidence of something which hasn't happened), I suspect that the application hasn't tracked properly from Moneysupermarket. They kept on about "the voucher ... in 28 days", which tends to suggest that I am on the £10 House of Fraser deal in error. Anyway, something was sent on 9/11. Ignoring the fact that it should have arrived by now, I will see what arrives and ring again, if necessary. If nothing arrives, I will ring again on 30/11 (ie. 28 days after my purchase). The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

Stephen. I had exactly the same response. After being shunted around the Indian call-centre, I eventually spoke to a woman called "Angela" who seemed to know something about it. She said that my "voucher" (presumably she meant the application form) had been sent on 9th November but that I would have to allow 28 days for delivery! Surely if it had actually been sent it would have arrived in a couple of days. It certainly hasn't arrived today (Tuesday 20th).
Perhaps what has happened is that someone has given the OK for the voucher application to be issued on 9th November and they have some kind of process to go through. I am beginning to smell a rat on this one . It couldn't be that they are trying to delay things so that people can't return the application forms before 31st December as required by para.9 of the T&C's, could it?
What I am determined on though is that, should Barclaycard not honour their promise, I shall write a letter of complaint to the Chief Executive and I shall consider a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman.0 -
I wouldn't waste your time with the FO. I tried to use them with my MSG cashback claim, and they just delayed everything for 8 weeks and then just referred the matter back to MSG. They even returned all the paperwork I sent them, as they don't have enough space to keep any records and don't scan them either.
Anyway, I am not worrying about this until either the wrong voucher arrives or 30/11, whichever comes sooner.
I've got the screen prints I took to prove I used the Moneysupermarket link to the £50 voucher offer, and the digital recording of today's 'phone call. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
Has anyone received their £50 voucher - or even a claim form?
I've had my 1st Statement which shows the first purchase going through on 2/11/07.
Rang to ask about the claim form.
Felt I was given the runaround as was transferred three times, each time no-one knew what I was on about.
Eventually I was told that there was a 'marker' on the account from 9/11/07 and that I'd receive my £50 High St voucher within 28 days of that date.
Has anyone else phoned?0 -
CGG - That sounds pretty much like the calls to them as in the posts above. At least they are consistent.
I do hope they haven't sent the forms via HMRC.
PS. For the record and in fairness, the T&Cs do actually say that the request form and/or voucher will be sent (ie. not necessarily received) within 14 days. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0
