  • LOL not noticed my bloomin pants (plants), teapot2 and fortunesmiles, if only, would save me a fortune.
Not been a bad day. Started week 3 of C25k felt ok, still in one piece.
Sold a item of facebook so another £3 in the pot. Almost but not quite sold another. Arranged for someone to coleect a £1 item from home, was late arriving (over an hour) but hey I'd not got anywhere else to be, so not a problem. Pulls up, asked how much it was and then proceeded to tell me that their partner had accidently took their bag to work, couldn't find any money in the car and could they have my bank details and they would transfer me the money. LMAO, hmmmmmmm nope. I'm trying very hard to give the person in question the benefit of the doubt but I wasn't born yesterday. Anyway they looked abit stunned/sheepish that I'd said no and said they would be back later. So either they were trying to con me (a £1...... honestly a £1 I ask you - throws arms up in the air) or they are too embarrased to return. So they've got till lunch time tomorrow and after that I'll readvertise it. Decluttered quite abit. The bin is half full. Took 2 large bags to the charity shop. 1st one shut at 3pm, 2nd one told me I needed an appointment to drop any donations off even though I'm stood in the shop with said donation, 3rd one- YES! took it all.
Hopefully tomorrow we'll get to the allotment and DD2 is at her grandparents. She is very keen to show them what she has learnt in French this week. Swimming now has to be booked so we are going on Thursday, feels odd to be booking swimming but we are living in strange times. Hope I don't have to swim in a mask ;).
    POSITIVES
    1) Life is good
    2) Wasn't out of breath after running 3 minutes straight
    3) Comfort food - jacket potatoe, cheese and beans mmmmmmmmmm.
Well time to watch another episode of Lucifer.

  • Bonjour, what a beautifu day its been. Wasn't sure how the day was going to pan out when DD2 first got up as she had to go back to bed. 2nd attempt was more successful and more impotantly came with warberling and big smiles. Lots of messages sent in french to various family members as DD2 found a site that would translate what she wanted to say. This afternoon we went to the allotment to meet her grandad as he was starting to make cider. DD2 happy using the manually apple crusher (claimed it as her job), was suprised that she was still at it after an hour.OMG we are going to seriously pay for it tomorrow, the grumpalo will rear its ugly head and devour us all if we make a sound (lol :D) Anyway she was happy and felt useful and did some maths/science whilst making cider and apple juice. I planted the rest of the winter cabbages, watered and picked grapes, raspberries and blackberries. We did have a grandad incident as he couldn't find his keys for his car. After 20 mins of frantic looking through crushed apples etc they were recovered from his POCKET :p. I dispair honestly.
I've sold something else and waiting for another person to collect. The woman from yesterday didn't return when she said, no message, so gave it till lunch time and contacted someone else who was interested and sold it , and within 5 minutes the woman from yesterday asked if she could collect :smirk:. Seriously. Selling stuff has made me realise how much money we've spent on stuff over the years and although the majority has been useful, they aren't essential. Anyway time for more positive thoughts
    POSITIVES
    1) The sun has shone all day
    2) I've had a couple of hours on my own.
    3) Free fruit
    Anyway off to have soup.

  • Thinking about getting one of those fitness tracker type watches but not a watch type thing. Been reading reviews and I'm completely and utterly stumped on which one is the best. I just want it to count my steps, heart rate, calories and buzz my arm off when I've been sitting on my ever growing fat !!!!!! for too long. I don't want to spend a fortune or one that will do the hula or anything else fancy. Too much choice and to many opinions on whether its it good or not. Need to do some more research before i commit. Not alot else to report as the day was dominated by a massive migraine.

Hope you’re feeling better now. No advice on fitness stuff - I have one that doesn’t do heart rate (Fitbit flex 2) and DH has an all singing all dancing garmin!

  • CR - I have a pale blue Garmin Vivosmart, which I can definitely recommend. It's quite slimline (I wear it like a bracelet on the RH so if I fancy wearing a fancy watch on the LH, I can - it's not chunky like a lot of fitness watches) and it does the buzzing to move thingie, steps, HR, sleep tracking etc as well as lots of things I don't even know how to use. I think it was about £75?
    Choose kind:)
