And you did well, CR, in not challenging the dementia and just being a warm, comforting presence. Hope you and DH are both okay-ish.

    Thanks greent and karmacat.
Went and picked DD1 up from her voluntary job plus took a bag of stuff to donate. She has bought herself a skirt that she has liked for the last couple of weeks. I remember that was one of the bonus of voluntering in a charity shop as you got to see what was coming in first. I had lots of designer brand clothes but paid very little from them. I treated the girls and mum to cake and tea as it seems ages since we've been out together( entertainment budget:eek:). We started discussing birthdays and a girly weekend. DD1 has been offered driving lessons but has turned these down at the moment. I suspect its because her dad has told her he'll pay for so many and then she has to pay for the rest. May have to steamroller him on this one, as a woman it was the best thing I ever did. It gave me the independance and confidence to go where ever I wanted to, knowing that if I wasn't happy somewhere or with someone I could leave straight away in a tin box on wheels. Thereby individuals who may want to harm me couldn't reach me. DD2 doesn't know what she wants to do on her birthday.
DH is tutoring today(side hustle), hope the weather has been good where he's been today (money will pay the remaining balance of the Wales holiday).

:hello:greent did you manage to find a local spring clean event in your area?
So fell off the health wagon at the weekend and I've finally managed to catch it up and scrambled back on board. Been trying to eat plenty of healthy food and continue with the exercise. Up to 22 lengths now. Been for an xray on the offending body part, just need to wait 3 weeks for the results.Painkillers are finally working so able to walk abit further, but will be glad once they are in my system properly and the side effects subside. I feel that in the last year my body is starting to let me down and is conspiring against me. However its in for a nasty suprise and will regret its trangressions:mad:/:D.It will no longer be assaulted with yummy food, relaxing alcohol and lazy afternoons, but be made to workout and eat healthy food. I'm hoping I can stick to this as I always always fall of the wagon into the muddy gutter. Will defy the self full filling prophecy.
TT of £3.93. Car has been for its MOT and service today.
    Hope you are all well

There are several within 10 miles, but none listed at the mo in my immediate area, or any local area I feel an affinity with - so I shall continue with my solo efforts in my local area. They are currently a bit hit and miss (I pick up things when walking back from post box) but I shall look at being more targeted - we live right by the canal path, so I thought I'd start along there - we have litter pickers in the garage :) I might also (no guarantee) message the local town council and see if they want to put out a call to action - I know they've done similar before :)

My healthier eating has fallen totally apart at the mo - I am very much 'feeding' this cold - lots of carbs and chocolate and naughty things!

    :hello: Teapot.
Sending virtual hugs and cotton hankies greent. Hope you feel better soon. I've been invited to go and speak to our local transition group to look at organising a clean up, not sure if I have the confidence to do this.
Hi karmacat my dad's wife swears by turmeric, she has it in warm milk and honey. All I'm going to say is when I tried it it reappeared all over the bathroom. However, you've (:A) prompted me to look at alternatives and have found it in capsule form so will call at H and B tomorrow and will give it a try.If it works I'll come clean your wand (fairy godmother). Been swimming again and finding it easier each time I go also still hanging onto the wagon for dear life. Have found that I like dates even though they look like something that.... well, just looks wrong. So eating these instead of cake/biscuits/sweets etc, plus I can't eat more than 2 before I've had enough. I've worked out that we are spending more on me been healthy but after the past couple of months and ongoing issues I've decided I'm worth it. The daft thing is that I was making sure the rest of them were eating healthy but forgoing myself due to the expense. No more, (gets down of soap box and puts it away for later).
Been to see the doctor again today (3 time in the last week, you can only discuss 1 issue per appointment:mad:) for another ongoing issue, I'm so glad the NHS is free. I've certainly used it plenty in the last couple of weeks. Having to make another appointment to discuss results. Results are back from smear test and going to mention it here as some women may feel worried about their results and that can effect us mentally and physically. So the good news is I don't have cancer:j the bad news is that I have this HPV so have to go again in a year:o. Intailly I sobbed my heart out due to ignorance but after looking on reputable sites things look brighter. So if any of you or somebody you know gets similar results give them a shoulder to cry on and suggest they speak to their GP or check out the nhs site. HPV doesn't nessecarliy mean you will develop cancer.
    So love to you all
