Wow didn't realise it had been so long since I'd been on the forum. So, DH grandma passed away at the beginning of the month, and my BIL/SIL had their twins (8 weeks early), so its been a very emotional time for us as a family. Had confirmation that DD2 is moving school after easter , so we are in the middle of lots of meetings and organising transistions days. Still waiting for hospital appointment to materalise to look at my inner workings (women issues). Also still waiting for mortgage to go through, its with banks legal department. other than that not alot else to report.
Hope your are all well off to catch up with some of you.

:hello: Hello CR, sounds a bit of whirlwind alongside lots of waiting. Hope life settles down soon. Sad about OHs grandma but its good that you were all able to be there for her and you were able to offer her the comfort she wanted.
How are the twins doing given that they were so early?0 -
Ooof! That's a lot to happen in a short time period! - and highs and lows, too. Hopefully the twins are doing ok?

:hello:karmacat, themadvix, teapot 2 and greent thank you for your kind words and virtual support. Over the last 12 days we've all had everything crossed in relation to the health of the twins and my SIL who was also very poorly. We've been kept constantly up to date with their highs and lows through our clan chat on Whatsapp, which has been a godsend for us as a family. We are all itching to hold them but numerous continents and oceans (plus several thousand pounds ) are preventing that, so we (siblings, not parents as they go in April) will have to wait till later in the year when they visit England. DH has sent his brother a lovely heartfelt letter about understanding all the emotions his brother is going through been a new parent especially when things don't always go to plan. Made me cry when I read it. The twins are putting on weight and no longer need to be on oxygen which is all good progress:j.
Other stuff thats happened but not that interesting are I've been shopping and filled the car up with petrol, cleaned the house and made tea.

Whoop whoop our mortgage has been agreed and offically tomorrow we will no longer will be with our current lender. Note to future self - start the progress earlier. We've been on our lenders standard rate for the last 2 months and I've begrudged paying more. Our mortgage will be £50 a month cheaper for the next 5 years, whoop whoop.. The issue is that we borrowed slightly more than we needed as our current lender was unable to tell us how much we would owe on a particular day. That in its self isn't a major issue, its DH - he wants to use the excess to do up the kitchen, I've pointed out that some places do 0% interest, so he said what about this , what about that , again we could get a 0% interest credit card to pay for this and that. I just want to OP back to the new lender that way cuts down the interest.
Yesterday was stunning here weather wise, which encouraged me to sow lots of seeds - 4 different types of toms, kalettes, kohi rabi, spinach, basil and celriac. Also took advantage of the washing line- 2 loads dried and de-harvest bugged:rotfl:. Hopefully I'll get more sowing done today.
DD1 best friend stayed over last night as their parent was taken ill unexpectedly, so they may here for a couple of days, which is no problem as you wouldn't know they are here except at meal times. DD1 doing lots of revision at the moment as they have got mock tests in a couple of weeks. Getting herself quite worked up as the school are putting alot of pressure on them to perform well as these marks are the ones that are going to be used on their UCAS forms. In fact she is getting so worked up that the other day I had to ban her from studying:rotfl: and made her watch TV, have a relaxing bath and an early night.
Went to WI last night and picked friend up who has broken her arm as she is unable to drive. Meeting arranged for next week for DD2 and new school whoop whoop.
