I'm due a smear test this year CR, so I feel your lack of enthusiasm!

Love the idea of tucking the fur into the hedge for the birds.... not sure how they'd feel about cat fur though - mightn't it smell a bit scary!?! :)

:hello:Misterpym thanks for the suggestion not thought of that, will give it a go tomorrow when I brush but create in my head some small furry animal sized fur ball.
:hello:Themadvix yep smears suck but I rationalise it in my head that 5 minutes (if truth be told it was less than that) of discomfit is better than the potential of months of therapy etc if I don't and I end up with cancer.
:hello:Karmacat did you wear the tiara? Somedays are just tiara days.
Busy day, once I got DD2 to school (the legs apparently were not happy as they were wobbly and needed more sleep, she said 'so mummy what was I supposed to do they had spoken' so it was 10am when we got to school). On the bright side though, the drive to school was beautiful once we were in the countryside. Looked really :shhh: C&%$£"massy. Today I decided to focus on the bathroom so spring cleaned/decluttered/touched up. Mainly out of date medinces. Had to do the dreadful job of de-hairing the plug holes. It times like that I wished we all had short hair or even better were bald. It seemed to take hours to do although I suspect it wasn't but that plug hole made it seem a long time.
Another job on the list was to go through a massive bag of reciepts as DH needed them (2 months worth so about 6 reciepts) to reclaim his mileage. He claims I never gave them to him 'oh yes I did', so after an hour, how many reciept did I find.......1. 1 I tell you, somebodys name was mud. However as I try to always focus on the positive it means the reciepts are now bagged and ready for the next time we have a fire outside. MUD:mad:
Appointment with DD1 to sort out new higher paying interest account tomorrow. Told DD2 in no uncertain terms that she is to now collect all her reciepts when she is out with her PA and we start to look at how much she is spending and on what . Going to stick them in a book and get her to start to add them up as she has no concept of money.
    TT£1.00
Only 2 more sleep till DH whisks me away for our 17th wedding anniversary.
Hope you've all had a good day

  • Forgot to mention DH had his PDR and they are recommending that he gets a pay increase although not sure what this will amount to. Super pleased, he says it nice to be reward for working hard compared to his old job were they always wanted more regardless how hard you had worked. I think its given him a massive confidence boost which is my main concern.

Great news about the pay rise, but more importantly the confidence boost :)

  • Just been trying to sort out DD1 railcard as her grandparents are taking her to Paris as a late birthday present and the card needs a photo which I haven't got or can sort this weekend as I'm away. T/C to them to tell them about issue and that they will have to sort, not sure why I was given the task in the first place. I'm sure my inability to sort will go down like a lead ballon.
Took DD1 into town after school to sort out her new account with better interest. She's decided to open another one next month to cream off the interest (only earns interest on a certain amount). Win Win situation except for the bank that she was with as she went in today and transferred all her money to the new one. She paid me a nice compliment, she was glad I was teaching her about money (even though its not the b all and end all) as it wasn't something covered by school. So swapped my tiara for a halo:A.:rotfl:.Both of which will not keep my head warm when I'm away this weekend:p.. Only 1 more sleep:j:j:j
Lots of house work done, dog walked and brushed (hair installed in hedge) spring cleaned/decluttered dining room. Hmm what else......... Called into local jewellers to see how much it would cost to have a customised replacement ring for DH. We have looked all over for an exact replica but nothing. So they currently have my ring (both rings had the same design) and are going to get us a quote. To be honest when he first had it cut off (de-gloved his finger at work:eek: 5 months ago) it really bothered me he didn't have his wedding ring on. It was definately in the realms of golum and 'he's my precious', but now I'm not that bothered (the ring of course:D) and just see it as another expense! DH on the other hand miss it and really wants to replace it, so I've been the thoughtful wife and started the ball rolling.
Very cold here and would like who ever is in charge to hold up the snow until I get back from my weekend away. Thanks
