Can't sleep so going to get my list prepped now.
Meter readings Done
Go to A1di and stick to list Done but didn't stick to list as I saw wholewheat pasta in their quite a bit cheaper then Mr T so I have bought a few bits to try and then maybe think about changing where I shop most often. - Just worked out what the same shop would have cost from mr T - Aldi £29vs Tesco£46
Go to H0me barg1ns and stick to the list - just peppers and mouthwash Done, did also buy chocolate but this was the kids spending some of their pocket money so thats ok,
Drop stuff off at Charity shop as I'm that way out Done and had a quick look to see if they had anything I wanted but nothing I fancied today
Get paperwork together for one of dh's pensions, this has turned into a frog
Set up kids jobs list ready for September - ties in with earning their pocket money
Check banking/update spreadsheet Done
Write up the chilli con carne recipe I made yesterday (along with the changes I made!) as it was a hit with dh (Only taken me 15yrs to get it right!) Copied and pasted into a word doc and then printed on a reclaimed piece of rm survey paper
Make dh's lunch for tomorrow Done
Try a different recipe for overnight oats with the kids - this one is a peanut butter one.
[STRIKE]Washing and hopefully get it dried outside rather then inside[/STRIKE] not worth doing as it is awful weather today but possilbly better tomorrow
Ironing - I've not done any for a while as dh was on annual leave, its mainly washing I'd done before we went away but then its been left in the basket so really creased. Done, seemed to take ages today and there wasn't even any shirts!
 P1n3cone paid up with is another £5 amzn voucher claimed£4 of isay paid into amzn too

Hello :coffee:
I am rubbish at remembering to subscribe to this thread - I was at Alton Towers round 2 last week with bestie and the kids which was £££ but I survived. I was out on Sunday night, and so badly hungover on Monday I didn't get anything donebut I'm here now! And I'm sure you're all on tenterhooks waiting to read about my exciting life :rotfl:
I have finally (about a month late) been paid by the exam board so my first priority today is to budget that. I've had some issues with YNAB which are in the process of being resolved I hope, but I am at least able to access my budget again.
Meeting with a friend today for a catch up and budget pub lunch (we have vouchers) - hoping she will lift my mood, which has been a bit down for the past few days. I'm always ok, just don't like feeling like this at all. Other than that I am attempting to relax and not stress out.
Hope everyone is doing ok. Lots of love to all of you xNot giving up

Thanks Purple Fairy, I did get back to bed but not til about 2.30 so not really feeling great today. Hoping that I'm not dropping into the vicious circle of can't sleep/low mood/binge. I'm not great out of routine and obviously school holidays add to that. I'm missing the gym as that helps keep me on an even keel usually. I managed to go last week when dh was on annual leave and its only a week and a half before the kids are back to school so just need to muddle along.
CCL, Hope you have a lovely catch up with your friend. I saw on your diary when I was reading but not posting on Mse that you've had a mortgage offer, thats great news and fab that the kids enjoyed Alton towers.
Ziggy, sorry to hear you didn't sleep well either
I'm going to set the timer and work for 10mins then have 10mins break/read/mindfulness/:coffee: rinse and repeat and see how I get on. I've posted many times before about "clear house = clear mind" so fingers crossed this will help me through the day.
Whoo hooo 4th try on the cocoa overnights oats liked by ds2, ds1 still not keen but he's not mad on banana either so we've decided to try making the next one with stewed apple on the side instead of the banana in it.
Have a good day folksSticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Afternoon all! Hope everyone is doing okay, hugs to anyone who needs them x
After my very short list yesterday -
Tonights' small list for after work -
Get the excess bedding into vacuum bags and store away.
Update August spends.
Look for a hire car for Italy, and check year round car hire insurance
I managed to get the vacuum bagging done, and that was it!
As usual, my report card reads 'Must try harder' :rotfl:
Today I've actually emailed a few companies re PPI checking. Yes, I'm one of 'those' people who have heard about this for years and wasn't sure if I'd had it so I had until today done nothing about it. Pretty sure I had something with 2 store cards and one credit card. Patiently waiting on a response from the 3 of them.

Clean or hoover something that needs it
Daily list as usual, comping, surveys, check banking, don't spend ANY money!

Newbie here. Trying to start keeping myself accountable.
Today: lunch at home; planned a trip to library instead of shopping (but library is shut boo); making dinner from scratch.
Checked banks etc, have ditched a DD and standing order for a credit card, to be just one big fixed standing order, so I don't have to keep adjusting the standing order as the minimum payment reduces. Reckon that means I'll get debt free a month earlier. :-)
I guess a big one is that instead of two weeks away we have had one, spending this second week off work just at home, going out to do a few things plus getting the house ready for a new puppy in September.
I know that's sensible but would have loved another few days in hotel getting my breakfast made for me! Heigh ho. On hol (in UK) we did pretty well not buying stuff we don't need. Meals cost the most. From next year, with dog, we'll be self-catering so it will be cheaper whatever we do.

Hey WiserMaybe, sounds like you're very organised
Its a great thread for keeping us on track, hope you stick around
Done ok with my list again today. Just sitting down for 10 minutes peace after sorting the kids out with their tea (and there are leftovers for them for tomorrow too , I love cooking once and eating twice! )
Still to do
Sew whole in ds1s coat, it will do for the start of the new school year, not replacing it til he's grown out of it. Done
Make a batch of the cocoa oats with ds1 for tomorrow Done
Make a batch of the peanut butter overnight oats with ds2 for tomorrow Done
Share bath water and continue use up of lotions and potions - definitely helps keeping a couple of them on my bedside table. DoneSticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Hi all
I've had a day out and about, catching up with a friend. Spent a little more than I would have liked but there are a few essentials that I needed to get. All in budget though. One of the cats had peed in their toy box so I had to throw the lot away and start again with a washable box and a load of toys from £land and similar shops.
Wish I could also report a more positive attitude but still feeling tired, grumpy and tearful. Not giving up
