Morning all
Up early and some bits done already:
Washed hair and allowed to dry naturally (brrr this morning!)
HG blueberries with breakfast
Emptied 2 small individual packs of cereal I found in the larder into my muesli tub - not to my taste on its own, but I don't mind it mixed in. They were sealed packets but decided I want to use them up out of the way!
Put some stuff away in the garage, and tidied up a bit in house - removed 2 slugs _pale_, one dead one in the kitchen (not surprised, sometimes find them there) and one on the rug in the lounge, strange place to find one
Started to clean bbq, but need DH to loosen some screws for me (I could have done it but CBA to get tools out, and he can probably just do it with his fingers). Done, just need to put it away now
Read meters and entered readings on energy company's web site
Renewed breakdown policy for car online - it is good value through the manufacturer's own scheme, as compared to others I looked at, so did that.
DD is coming round with both kids, so not expecting to get a great deal more done  Better see if OH has loosened the screws on the bbq and get that finished at least!
OH picked / cleared the basil and I made pesto :j
Also picked spinach for a filo feta pie in the next couple of days
Sowed spinach, chard and Tuscan kale seeds for spring greens
Sowed rocket, mustard and lambs lettuce for autumn salads
Bit of weeding / clearing
Cut minaret fruit trees' mad new growth back
Dinner from freezer0 -
Morning everyone
I'm working today while my son is off to find the Gruffalo with his childminder and her little girl (looks like he got the good end of the deal!)
Enjoying the cooler mornings now, I can actually put my make up on without fear it'll melt off!!
So things I've done today:
- B/L/D from stores and semi stuck to meal plan (forgot to get meat out the freezer to defrost yesterday to put in slow cooker today - woops!)
- Took healthy snacks into work to avoid buying them.
Still to do:
- Check bank accounts
- Pay £20 off CC (trying to pay £20 each week)
- Check FPL
- Washing on 30c
- Only tumble dry towels
Have a good day

Hi Frugal Friends,
Thanks for all your kind wishes. Am back home for a bit & while it isn't going to be possible to de-stress (my Mum's condition is critical), I am hoping that doing a few normal thibgs & catching up will at least provide a bit of respite. Am planning to make jam tomorrow as that's very restful & am just about to have a walk down the garden to see what veg has grown while we were away.
Financially, I have been angelic while I was away, but tonight we are having a takeaway & bloody sod the expense!
Missing Cat very much. Collecting him tomorrow morning.

Morning frugal pals :hello:
We're off out for the day with some friends but using our memberships so no spend and we'll take a picnic. There maybe ice cream or coffee later as it's forecast rain but that's fine if we've taken the rest.
So things for today:
Make picnic, take drinks
Remember waterproofs
Something out of freezer for tea for when we get home
I may run if we're not back too late
Investigate wardrobe for spare room now I know roughly when it'll be finished
Check surveys
Keep on top of various spaces looking tidy.
Pick more tomatoes
Enjoy your day, whatever you might be doing.0 -
Morning purps
enjoy your walk & picnic
Day 2 of puppy lifemadam loves and adores him! I ended up having to sleep in the lounge, until oh came in in the early hours, as he just cried every time I went upstairs! Oh got up this morning and took him out for his business and then madam was playing with him, so I got a mini lay in!
Today:
*[STRIKE] just checked forecast and I'll put the washing out till it's set to rain later this afternoon[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]* get something out of the freezer for dinner[/STRIKE]
* clean out the fridge
* finish tidying up/putting things away in the loft - need to get spick and span as having a puppy leaves no room for mess!
* get winter boots out of loft
* might list a couple of things on fleabay that I have knocking about!
* spent some time going through accounts/cc and shuffling money - was payday on Friday
* see if oh fancies going for a walk and a pint
Ok that will doDF as at 30/12/16

foxglovessorry to hear about your mum, sending hugs
CCLwhen you said about a vet bill I immediately thought it was naughty tortie!
1LL I hope that cloud has lifted from you and you are not feeling so down. Not as easy as it sounds though.
Not masses to report, have been reading along but my health took a twist on Friday. The doctor has been brilliant with ringing me to monitor and will find out on Tues what happens next. Not really been out of the house, supposed to be on bed rest but im getting fidgety and very frustrated as I hate being out of routine.
Have been eating out of the freezer-all YS items that I bought in anticipation or DD has bought. Serving us well as DD BF is here aswell.
Behind on spends book, haven't done any tracking. DD puts the receipts to one side so might have a go at updating today. Have a lot of frogs that I just don't want to do.
Have a great day everyone and hugs to those having difficulties, under the weather or if u just need one which is what my bestie did for me in the week and it was just the best to have that support sometimes xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Afternoon all, I've not had chance to catch up on here since Friday as life through a bit of a curve ball and I've ended up having my sis & niece to stay as my sis was very poorly and the antibiotics were making her slur her words and so I wanted to have her here so that I could look after them both. She seems brighter today though which is good.
So I've mainly spent my time making cups of tea and cooking good healthy nutritious food as although she doesn't feel like that (she would much rather alternate between toast and pizza) at least she's eating better which will hopefully help her recovery also.
Right the ovens up to temperature so I better go as I'm cooking stuffing to go with lunch and as the ovens on I've decided to make a fruit crumble for dessert - see if it can help raise a
Take care all.Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.
