What small DFW things will you do w/c 20th August?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :money:

Morning all, I'm hoping I've not crossed posts with anyone this morning!
Pf, thanks for asking after me last week
Foxgloves I hope that your mum is doing better
Dawn thanks for asking after me last week. I hope your back is feeling better and that you have a nice few days away.
Ziggy So sorry to hear that you aren't enjoying your holiday, I hope you're ok.
Dh is back to work today, the weather isn't great so I think today will be mainly at home (which the kids are asking for as they want to play) so I should manage to get quite a bit done today.
Ok, its going to be a massive starting list from me but I feel the need to be productive so here goes....Switched off ds's bedroom clocks as they won't be in there all day anyway and the clocks reset automatically.
Breakfasts - ys bread out of the freezer for toast
Check banking/update spreadsheet
still in the black but definitely need to rein in the food spends
Check payment has gone out of newly switched bank account correctly
the first payments gone ok but another due out tomorrow is still showing old details on the account so will see what happens tomorrow - covered by switch guarantee anyway so not overly concerned.
Divide the pack of chicken received from musc1efood order into portions and freeze
Triage fridge and wipe out
Nothing going to waste which is good
Update freezer list
Lots of meat to put into meals in there now
)
Meal plan for the week (including snacks) Rough plan done but its interchangeable if needs be
Sort out shopping list after ^^ not enough needed to make a trip to the shops which is good!
Rm survey
Get filing put away, clear my cupboard in my sitting room which has become a paperwork dumping ground whilst dh has been home with us the last couple of weeks.
* Get ds to check his school stationary - don't want a last minute dash to the shops to source bits and pieces the day before going back to schoolSupervise the kids with prepping their own pots of overnight oats for tomorrow, the recipe they followed last week wasn't a hit as they found it too bitter, will reduce the amount of cocoa powder and replace the berries with mashed banana I think
Lunch will be soup/bread [STRIKE]or jacket potato and tuna [/STRIKE] & tinned prunes for dessert
* Tea tonight will be some enchiladas and salad
* Get airers out get yesterdays washing dried as its rained overnightSort out pile I have to get rid of, some for cs/ some for the fabric recycling bin at the tip
Put a support ticket into TCB about some cb still showing as pending since Jan
and requested a payment via amzn gift card whilst on there, only a fiver but it all helps
Do a bit of onepoll 90p worth more then I started the day with
* Do a bit on swag$ as I aren't that far off a small payoutCheck isay surveys as again not far away from small payout 2 screen outs but another 20 points closer to payout at least
)
* Read some of my library book (& go online to renew it so that we don't incur any late fees
)
* Use my headspace app - as it really did help my anxiety when I was using it daily before
* Write in my gratitude journal before bed, I think this helps me sleep better - focusing on positives before trying to fall asleep.Check off mr T cc, used for majority of our spends to maximise vouchers but always paid off in full. Its a big bill this month which looked scary but its only a big one because we cancelled our other cc as it had a monthly fee so all spends are now on this one.
Checked £co and claimed a £1.20 M&s voucher from them - every little helps and all that!
Made dh's lunch for tomorrow
Checked p1n3cone and had enough points to convert a £5 amzon voucher
Have a good day all.Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Hi August-Austerees,
Afternoon!:coffee:It's still my weekend.Had a lovely day walking yesterday. Snaffled a few wild-growing raspberries and DW photographed a kestrel and a whole host of other things. We were tired when we finished but hadn't pre-prepared a meal so we bought one of those £7.50 Indian takeaways in a bag from Morrisons. Not very money-saving but cheaper than a £20 Indian takeaway.

Hot drink for commute
Made some chocolate tiffin, which is currently hardening in freezer
Took some quiche out for DH lunch tomorrow
Picked all my spuds, roasting some for tea
Picked more tomatoes and what may well be the last of the raspberries
Had a quick tidy round garden whilst out there, still loads to do but feel better for what I managed
