    Morning,

Feeling meh today and generally disgruntled. However it just has to be bathroom today, so I will do my best to stick to the lists. Yesterday got the kitchen and dining room done, but by the evening, the kitchen looked like a war zone. I need to dig out St Delia's runner bean pickle recipe as it worked well last year and will get make a dent in the carrier bag of beans that is cluttering the worktop, without taking up freezer space.

Glad your fil is improving, Jojo, and that at least your OH is thinking some practical thoughts.

Haircut later although I haven't really got the enthusiasm, so I had better crack on.

GWS wishes to Jojo's fil - glad you're on his case, and that your OH is talking about looking after him for a while. (Hope he feeds him better than he did you, though!)

3 crazy days with DGS1+2. Great fun but tiring, and I haven't done a lot otherwise. Yesterday DS1 brought DGD1+2 round for a breakfast party, which everyone enjoyed. DDiL1 missed it because she went into school to prepare her classroom.

This morning DGS2 and I tidied up the front garden while we were still in our PJs, before breakfast. They are now running the garden railway with DH.

I have made up lunch to eat on the train and grabbed half an hour to myself, to check finances, email and urgent jobs. My K1nd1e died yesterday (aged 9), my big laptop has also died (only 2 yo but almost certainly just out of guarantee). I am going to get the laptop mended and buy a new K1ndle, but not today or even this week or next - have found the ancient mini-laptop to take on holiday (that's not its proper name, but you probably know what I mean - it's not an iPad), have plugged it in, and after a few hiccups and a reboot it appears to be working, so I can use it on the train today if I can plug it in there. Need to get some virus protection on it, though - must check if I've already paid enough for 3 devices on my normal account.

Will catch up with you all when I can. Flying is intermittent, but washing is almost up to date :)

(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed xx

I haven't made it to the Extras, but pretty pleased to have done the other levels from today's list. That might be a clue as to how much the bathrooms needed it....

DD is now vacuuming her room. Bonus.

And if I'm told that there isn't any treatment for strokes so there's no point calling and ambulance - not that classic stroke symptoms mean somebody is having a stroke, apparently - one more time, I might need a convenient alibi.
