With that in mind, Sturgeon allegedly going cold on her solidarity visit to Catalonia for fear of upsetting Madrid.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -
So you don't know then, thanks for clarifying.
Well John McDonnel thinks he’s a Marxist.

I absolutely do know what marxism and communism are
Then why do you think Socialist Labour is somehow both Communist and Marxist as well? I appreciate you've had some bad experiences with such governments in the past, but that doesn't make it the case here.
I guess if you squint hard enough you can try to claim that wanting to nationalize things like the railways (where privatization is a disaster) as being communist, since it's state ownership. But it could also be socialist. Ditto for things like free education, a living wage and health care for everyone.Corbyn and MacDonald are clearly marxists, and the communist party in this country has put itself firmly behind this alleged 'labour party'.Nowhere has communism worked. What it has done is been responsible for the deaths of millions and the impoverishment of populations wherever it has been introduced, with those at the top, of course compliant with the system, living in luxury.
Agreed. Communism only works when people can voluntarily leave the system (like a commune), since humans are too easily corrupted.
But can you claim that Capitalism has worked? Trickle down economics?0 -

You can if you want. The EU and various EU nations have made it clear they'll accept us. I'll take that over whatever Brexit is.0 -
I disagree, things have changed drastically in the last 4.5 years.0

I love the irony of some Scots wanting independence for Scotland but demonising those who voted for Brexit0

Ah, you're a fan of the Hamish 'doctrine' as regards Scottish independence.
You'll pen post after post claiming that the UK's departure from the EU fold will be an economic disaster, yet Scotland detaching itself from the rUK is somehow benign when in reality it dwarfs Brexit as regards its negative impact for the Scottish economy.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -

So would I if it were true but it's actually one of the biggest loads of tosh that I have ever read. That anyone can describe the failing EU as Progressive dynamic, inclusive and rapidly strengthening defies belief. It's no more than a few words that you've pulled out of a hat that can mean anything you want them to mean.0 -

That’s mainly rhetorical drivel you’ve written there, if only because Scottish nationalism has a fair amount of the negative attitudes you’ve ascribed to a post Brexit Britain.
Your continued reluctance to compare and contrast the negative effects of Scottish independence to the Scottish economy with that of Brexit is noted.
You can’t on the one hand berate Brexit voters for visiting economic penury on the U.K. and then deny or minimise the negative economic effects of Scottish independence on Scotland.
It’s dishonest.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0
