Wise words from the chief cheerleader for Scottish independence

I always thought that he was totally anti Scottish independence, am I wrong, or were you trying to be ironic? Hamish is a successful high earner, he'd obviously be a big financial loser in an independent Scotland (which he has previously stated on some of the original Scottish independence threads).

For Hamish, Scotland’s membership of the Union is dependent on the UK’s continued membership of the EU. A rather strange kind of unionism IMO.

Theresa May's dance is now known as...

    The Brexit Shuffle

Because it's awkward, unnecessary and humiliating for the nation... :o

Can't believe things are now so bad we have to send our Prime Minister to Africa and make her dance for a trade deal. :(
    :rotfl:
Dad dancing at a wedding. He thinks he still has the moves but the world has moved on. Pretty symbolic of how we are now seen.

So, given her track record of doing the opposite of what she actually says, a second referendum is now almost a certainty ;)

You have opportunity to get rid of May at next election is that true about Junker.

How do I get rid of May? I doubt she'd run in my constituency in a seat that hasn't been Tory in decades.

I can vote for a party that wouldn't join a coalition with the Tories, and hope for a Laboir/coalition majority which pitsvthe Tories out of power, but I can't prevent her being the leader of the opposition.

I could join the Tory party and try to get the party to kick her out, bit I can't see that happening either.

Some people care about more than just personal wealth. I quite happily pay more income tax to live in Scotland.

I was talking specifically about Hamish (not generally) and amongst other reasons stated, Hamish was making those financial arguments himself on the original Scottish independence threads, that is why I said it.

Vote labour in and we won't have a country left.
