I voted remain as I could see both sides were lying but the leave lies seemed most implausible. Also I thought leaving would be a lot more difficult that we were being told, so erred on the side of caution, how is that "arrogant"?
The arrogance is shown by the fact that remain were so confident they would win they made to plans in case they lost if fact if they were not so far out of touch they wouldn't have had referendum in first place. I voted remain because I though that we gain more from being in EU than we lose but I wasn't at all surprised leave won the only thing that surprised me was that We had the referendum and risked everything.

I agree the original referendum has caused many problems and divided the country and personally I don't see anyway forward. I don't blame UKIP or leave supporters for that but the arrogance of remain supporters that were so far out of touch that they though there was no way they could lose.

I can not disagree too much with your last sentence.
It was just the same in America. Clinton talked of women liberating themselves and getting a College degree and Trump promised coal miners Jobs in a newly opened pit.
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

Barnier has done his job very well.
I suspect Spanish farmers are just as worried as British farmers as this whole thing is played out and that at a stroke of a pen their business plan could collapse.

I suspect that Spanish producers are exploring increasing sales to other EU countrys. I am not sure what plan B is for British farmers faced with Britain planing on making trade deals with very low cost producers elsewhere in the world.
I suspect that both sets of farmers will suffer.

I wonder if Spanish farmers are as happy with Barnier as you are.

Unlike brexiteers, Spanish farmers will understand that disrupting trade with a UK market of 60 million will be preferable to undermining the single market with a potential customer base of 450 million + worldwide access to several size-able markets, (like the recently EU-Japan (population 120+ million) trade deal removing practically all tariffs).

This 'we are so important' mindset is still going strong I see. :)
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

What the hell else is it then? The tenant is refusing to honour the contract with the landlord on pretty specious grounds.

Did you even bother to read gfp's post or is it just your usual kneejerk reaction of siding with the EU however disgusting their behaviour?

The reason for leaving has nothing to do with a tenancy dispute. Since they are leaving they naturally want to avoid paying rent on a building they can no longer use. They have no grounds to force the landlord to break the contract unless it's in the contract.

Remnants dispute long term leases pretty regularly.

One side gets a cold, the other shoots itself in the foot. The extent of harm is not comparable.

I'm not so sure it all depends on how big a share of their trade U.K. is, you are doing the same as people like Cameron in assuming every body thinks like you.

If only it was as simple as that but the EU is made of many countries and some will suffer very badly.

It is lose/lose to such an extent that no responsible UK Government should be entertaining it as an option.

6.9% of Spain's exports come to the UK
Spain exports more to Italy than to the UK
Spain exports more to Germany than to the UK
Spain exports more to France than to the UK
Spain exports more to Portugal than to the UK

No idea what you're on about with Cameron.
