Brexit the economy and house prices part 6

Feel free to look yourself, it's all there.
Ditto if you're really interested or you could always ask the publishing sources.
Really?
:rotfl:
Do you want to know what they had for breakfast too?
It's been widely covered in UK media though perhaps not in Spain or Luxembourg apparently.
Funnily enough you always find the anti-Brexit pieces from UK media that you want though.
Actually many years ago all the EU27 media were shocked/surprised/ amazed BUT mainly SAD that Britain had voted to leave the EU.
Now back today, frankly the EU27 media have in the main forgotten Brexit.
The only ANTI Brexit story’s are now in the British Press. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
There's so much wrong in there I don't know where to start!
In fact as from past experience you ignore being corrected anyway I won't even waste the electrons other than to say:
"Barnier has not said it but I am sure he thinks:
If they go for this they're bigger suckers than we thought!"
I stand corrected.
As you say the link to the audio is all over the internet.
In fact he spoke in English to the question asked by an English speaking journalist
Asking a silly question.

Without the help of USA and European money over the last few decades, the Chinese economy would be nowhere.
I see that China believes they have overcome the hurdles with quantum radar, tracking stealth.
If it's true, I expect more counter response, in terms of greater research into hyper sonic delivery platforms.
I am sure the last two paragraphs make a lot of sense to those above my pay grade.
So this is just a responce to your first paragraph.

Off to Poland and Hungary in a few weeks, so I shall make sure I try and get a feel of what people on the ground are saying.
You never know, there might be some kind of 'love in' with Juncker & pals.
That sounds great. Have a great and productive time there,
I was a regular visitor in the late 1960s and early 1970s and no one would talk to me as they were afraid.
Actually I was also afraid as one mistep and my visa would be cancelled. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
Nobody is talking about the deep relationship between a large tech company (makes cheap phones...best not name) and China.
Why is this important? Well...the development of 5G and the spying potential makes it very important indeed.
Do not be shy, yes we know it is Apple. The phones are not that cheap. I suspect that is to do with what your income is.There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
Of course, it all depends who you talk to. I've visited every EU country to the south of Lithuania and east of Austria this year. In Poland and Hungary, the young rail against the ignorant peasants who voted in governments of the wrong political persuasions. In Bulgaria and Romania, they demonstrate against corruption that their politicians regard as a perk of the job and murder journalists who investigate them as well as abuse GDPR regulations to try to force journos to disclose their sources.
That said, they view the EU in much the same way as they do the communists who they got rid of less than 30 years ago.
Enjoy your love in.
Interesting.
It is great they are free to talk to you.
In the late 1960s early 1970s it was very different.
Thankfully those times have passed. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
Don't be so sensationalist; it's nothing like jumping out of any window.
If anything it is opening doors to new opportunities.
In a global economy it's often cheaper to buy from outside the EU than from inside it and in fact there are many instances where the EU has kept prices artificially inflated (Look yourself. There's plenty of examples.).
Your presumably-media-inspired example of insulin isn't a good one because not only is insulin not difficult to make but (as I'm sure you already know) Factcheck recently said "The companies that do supply the bulk of UK patients – even with products manufactured overseas – have told us that they don’t expect significant problems with supply in the event of a no-deal Brexit."
As for surviving in transit are you honestly going to suggest that it can survive a journey from Germany or Denmark but not elswhere?
:rotfl:
Again I'm sure - positive in fact - that there are many outside the EU who would dearly love to instead be supplying the UK's pharma needs and would be extremely competitive in price for that opportunity.
And of course EU pharma wouldn't suffer at all.
I am not sure that many voted for Brexit just to get cheaper and cheaper things.
However if that is your reason then OK.
Just remember cheapest is not always best.
Cheapest will probably destroy your manufacturing base
Cheapest will almost certainly destroy your retail distribution outlet.
That is what you voted for.
584 pages gives you that. YOU have a great deal. Take it.There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
That's why Rees Mogg, champion of Brexit and man of the people, is moving his many hundreds of millions of (undeclared) pounds to Ireland.

You couldn't make it up. Is there anyone who told people to vote Leave 2 years ago not leaving politics, their post, the country, themselves? Maybe they misunderstood what they were campaigning for.
Of the course theyre all rich so it doesn't much matter to them how much damage this is doing.0 -
Oh it might be a non event, or all go sour.
I'm also taking the opportunity to return an item to a family, which was taken from them over 40 years ago...and I'm not sure they know yet !
...should be interesting.
And scary. Good luck. Let us know how it goes. That sounds wonderful.
But
Taken from them in 1978?
By that time my industry and I had moved to the Far East and most of my contacts in Poland had been disappeared or had got out.
I thought by 1978 the borders were open. Are you sure they did not sell it.There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0
