Brexit the economy and house prices part 6

            Dear Cakeguts,
If there was anything positive in Brexit for any of us (apart from the Farage wing and ERG), there wouldn't be any issue would there?
No positives have been put forward for the vast majority of people though and that is why people are very very nervous about this.
The young people today will have to pay for the sins of their elders very soon. I can totally understand where they are coming from.
And what positives did remain give before the referendum?

Two extreme left wing organisations who receive more than half their funding from the EU applauded by Arklight. Shocker.Meanwhile the National Union of Students has been given £20,000 to bus in students from around the country, lured with the promise of a “FREE TRIP TO LONDON”.
Hundreds of thousands went on CND ban-the-bomb demos in the sixties, more recently the 2002 Countryside Alliance claimed over 400,000 on their march and the 2003 anti-Iraq war march being undoubtedly the biggest in British history with over 750,000 turning out. Guido doubts we’ll see anything like that turnout tomorrow.
That you believe the National Union of Students is an “extreme left wing organisation” indicates a level of subterranean ignorance I had thought unplumbable, even for you.
But of course that’s what you believe. You voted for Brexit, read Guido Fawkes, and spend half your day ranting about the French. What else would you think?
Bad luck with the 700,000 thing by the way. That’s the exact estimate of today's turnout. But I suppose that borrowing your opinions from extremist websites that are wrong about everything and then publishing it will leave you looking like a bit of a plumb.
It won’t be the last time.0 -

Interesting that the biggest contribution to the drop in the trade deficit last month was down to the fall in German car imports. There is only so much UK family silver to sell to fund current standards of living. Don't blame the elders.0 -

OK so it won't make any difference but at least we are no paying for that no difference. The UK will be shopping around to join trade with people who don't charge it for for having silly laws imposed on it.
Yes indeed they will be shopping around but probably should have started negotiations with these countries the minute Article 50 was invoked.
But the one deal the UK wants is with the EU.
With all its rules and regs.0 -

Trump wants UK out of the EU so they can impose their trade regs on us. If you think that any UK trade deal with the US will be run by the UK, I very much doubt it.
Putin wants to break up the EU as it is a threat to his Napoleonic ambitions. The EU is a big buffer to this megolomaniac.
Both Trump and Putin will be ecstatic if the UK leaves the EU. I don't think that is something I personally would be happy with.0 -
And what positives did remain give before the referendum?
What's done is done.
Sigh, remain did not have to fight any corner for change. Not one of those responding to me have given in black and white ANY positives for post Brexit. Deflection is not good debating.
Oh and the positives of remaining are that there is no trauma, life goes on, trade goes on, flights fly, medicines and drugs are supplied, workers are protected, food is certified, no stockpiling required, free movement for work remains and so on. Too many positives to remaining. I don't see any for leaving myself. And no one has given me any either. It is a deflection tactic.
The only positive I can see for Brexit is that either Boris, Gove or David Davis will take over, and I am being disingenuous here obviously. Oh, and Trump and Putin will be celebrating too. This is exactly what they want.0 -

Remain focussed on fear, my mind was made when Obama was trotted out on TV saying we'd be bottom of the list..
Anyway we can't re-write democracy, hope the few in London had a nice day out today.Official MR B fan club, dont go............................0 -

Trump will decide the rules regarding any Trade Deal with the UK. So you are totally correct there.0
