And of course Paris' biggest asset for financial businesses is... it's just 2hr 19mins from central London:)

Oh dear you missed the point completely. That post was to balance the endless Remainer posts claiming/insinuating that jobs are being lost due to Brexit - without of course providing any facts to back it up. So I make the point: Anyone can attribute anything to Brexit. It's not over till the fat lady sings.

All we really know at the moment is: Brexit announced, pound down, jobs up.

You can say anything's related to Brexit but it'd be a push. I can cite sources (not tonight though) for jobs lost explicitly because of Brexit. Can you cite any jobs gained explicitly because of Brexit? Any potential new jobs? Potential opportunities? Anything?

I'll start with the obvious - about 8000 civil servants.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

Macron's desire to take business from London. Whether there be Brexit or no Brexit is hardly a secret.

8000 civil servants to manage brexit? That's a lot of taxpayer money and money going through the economy but it's not really adding value is it? I'd rather we were hiring 8000 new police officers so we can get something meaningful from the money.

There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

I see Mr Junker, the unellected leader of the EUSSR, is trying to curtail press freedom in the UK...

Nice bit of UK bashing thrown in there too; "You should have listened to us, we would have told you how to vote!" Honets to gawd...

At least Cameron had the sense to realise that letting the likes of Juncker loose on the referendum campaign would have been a huge boost to the leave side.

That was 7 months ago. Do you think they have finished mulling?

Yes. They have 10000 employees in the UK and have asked several dozen to move to Paris.

They may ask some more to move.

    Big deal.

Watching Sophy Ridge on Sunday this morning, she was interviewing the Irish Deputy PM who said that a Brexit deal was 90% done and that the main outstanding issue was Ireland. This seems to fit with what Juncker said earlier. So hopefully we are on our way to a deal.

Still requires ratification. Plenty of time for objections at regional/national level.
