Brexit the economy and house prices part 6

What a pity then that the Remain campaign never brought that point up at referendum time.0

I did post - probably in the wrong place - that I have seen a Housing Association significantly drop the rental charges on a development of new-build Shared Ownership homes, likely because they could not sell these properties as they are obviously unaffordable.
The rents have been discounted by 60%. This development is also in a wealthy area.
Could be something that is a trend going forward, with rents being reduced on these shared ownership properties. And a possible small sign that house prices have reached a peak.0 -
Calling leave voters "racist" because it fits with your viewpoint, is belittling. If it's not meant to change views, then it can only be a childish slur.
There you go again, all crystal ball speculation, and "I know better than you do what you think and do." No wonder you lost.If someone calls you those names, then you have the right to call them on it. As I did with the poster who childishly claimed we all voted leave due to "racism"
I apply the duck test:-
"If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck"
Look at the types attending the Tory conference, or a UKIP rally. I may be wrong of course...... perhaps Tommy Robinson and Jim Davidson voted to remain.:rotfl:0 -
You've just done the same thing you're accusing others of by labelling Remain = Left. There was a huge section of the political left who voted Leave because the EU is very from from a social democratic entity.
That's one of the difficulties that parties have squaring the Brexit circle: it doesn't follow party political lines. This is going to cause huge political upheaval going forward as you could have two people with identical views on things such as housing, the labour market, benefits, taxes, attitudes to business, etc; who hold absolutely polar views on Brexit. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I have no problem with immigration that serves a purpose and is agreed/controlled by the government of the day but huge numbers should not be allowed to turn up just because are from the EU.
You can't possibly be suggesting that having one rule for EU migrants and another for the rest of the world is fair .......... can you?

The key word was "uncontrolled" you see.I am a mortgage broker. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Hearing May's immigration tough line on the radio at the moment. Quite annoying to hear her pontificating like this when:
- On March 29th, we all know nothing will change.
- EU's stance is still 'FOM or border through Britain' and May has not even faced that fact yet.0 -

I should have asked earlier; what controls do you want on immigration?0
