Explain how would they suffer if they made a couple of minor concessions.
It would hurt every future trade agreement they try to make for a start.
Then there is the fraud that is committed by UK companies increasing and they have no way to stop it. Because we no longer abide by ECJ rules, the government can relax the laws on companies that they own.
You know, like the reason why the EU exists in the first place.
They kind of have to take a hard line, or really they might as well go back to war to solve the issues.0 -
In which case we will leave without a deal and all pay the price I'm sure we will suffer but so will the EU and not just financially as support for those core beliefs is not universal in EU.0

Agreed but the point is we will suffer more than them and it can all be avoided. Masochism is pointless.
But we're taking back control and giving it to the 0.1% who control the wealth in the UK. Sure they've given us empty promises and said things that are provably untrue, but they aren't foreigners. See?0 -

Then there'sNovartis and Bayer were trying to stop NHS doctors from prescribing a cheaper treatment for a serious eye condition.
