Explain how would they suffer if they made a couple of minor concessions.

It would hurt every future trade agreement they try to make for a start.

Then there is the fraud that is committed by UK companies increasing and they have no way to stop it. Because we no longer abide by ECJ rules, the government can relax the laws on companies that they own.

You know, like the reason why the EU exists in the first place.

They kind of have to take a hard line, or really they might as well go back to war to solve the issues.

In which case we will leave without a deal and all pay the price I'm sure we will suffer but so will the EU and not just financially as support for those core beliefs is not universal in EU.
Agreed but the point is we will suffer more than them and it can all be avoided. Masochism is pointless.

But we're taking back control and giving it to the 0.1% who control the wealth in the UK. Sure they've given us empty promises and said things that are provably untrue, but they aren't foreigners. See?

    Depends what rules they relax.

But that is the argument that was lost in 2016.

Went to Snap Fitness in Windsor the other day.
Despite having cancelled my membership last year, I asked if I could still use the cross trainer and the rowing machine.
    They said 'nope'.
    How humiliating.
Why are they trying to punish me??
    Bloody unelected bureaucrats everywhere.

I told them their conduct was unacceptable, that they need to be more flexible and they need to come up with new proposals to solve the situation.
    Still waiting for an answer...
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

Just like Danske Bank and the German Motor Companies......;)

    Then there's
Novartis and Bayer were trying to stop NHS doctors from prescribing a cheaper treatment for a serious eye condition.
