Brexit the economy and house prices part 6

Why should we have to 'cope'? So we will have to queue up at a post office prior to travelling on holiday to get an international driving licence? I thought Brexit was about getting rid of red tape not increasing it! With the closure of post offices it will be interesting trying to get to one in the first place. Brexit, the gift that keeps on giving!
No no not queuing at a post office. Jesus this is a disaster.
Anyway no-one will be able to afford to go on holiday what with all the unemployment and inflation so that takes care of that one.0 -
It's still a clear item that is measurably worse for those affected. Those who go to Europe may now need a VISA waiver, international drivers permit, get to pay a fortune to use their phones, get to pay customs and get extra delays. And the upside? A blue passport? Duty free fags up to the 200 limit?0

At least when our planes are grounded post Brexit, Russian agents won't be able to fly into Gatwick and wander around Salisbury, leaving deadly nerve agents lying about. That'll show Putin. :-)
British Airways, Virgin, Thompson et al all barred. Spain back into recession, with consequences for teetering EU bond market and economy..
Many EU exports grind to a halt, trillions of dollars worth of EU Derivatives rendered in London, collapse.
Y'up that's reaaly, weally gonna happen sweetie.
When you guys look in the mirror can you see your reflection what with all that shaking and trembling?Restless, somebody pour me a vino.0 -
Come on Mayo I’ve been back a while. The entertainment is just too great to miss out on.
Great to see #6 actually is exactly the same as #1-#5 though.
Isn't it just?
At every positive bit of data the anti-Brexit splutterers "but .... but ....... but ....." themselves into deeper apoplectic baloney-spouting.
Personally I'm waiting for the statement that Brexit will lead to the UK falling off the edge of the world or into a UK-sized sinkhole.
No more daft frankly than most of the "Brexit is bad" drivel we keep having suggested as fact.
Growth is up, wages are rising, unemployment is at the lowest for 40 years . . . . . and the response?
"You won't be able to drive in the EU after Brexit"!
Well if it works both ways will that stop the Lithuanians, Poles & Romanians who drive here uninsured on their non-UK licenses then?
If the EU really want to push a whole nation away, let 'em.
There's a whole world out there who would love our trade and our tourist money.0 -
Have to admit that the prospect of not having Polish lorry drivers on our roads is delightful. I have two friends who have both had crashes with Polish lorries. The first one was only minor but the lorry sped off (she got the number plate) and has never been seen since, and the lorry company will not give details about who was driving, the second one was far more serious, it was several years ago and she can no longer walk or work, let alone live independently, and is still having a lot of treatment to try and get an independent life back. That driver did stop to give false details, actually even gave the wrong registration plate number (the witness got the right one) and then simply disappeared off the face of the earth. The insurance details he gave were invalid.
From what I have heard the Polish are more than reluctant to give the details of the drivers involved in crashes.
So if we can stop drivers coming here when they are ill equipped to drive our roads then I will be happy. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
