Thank goodness we are growing faster than Romania and Estonia, but slower than all other EU members

We're not talking first-quarter any more you know.
Things have moved on.
August 29th: "France GDP Growth Stable At 0.2% As Estimated"
August 31st: "The revised estimate of 2Q18 Italian GDP data confirms the pace of growth has been weakening to 0.2%"
September 10th about the UK: "Gross domestic product in the three months to July was 0.6 percent higher than in the previous three-month period, the Office for National Statistics said, gathering pace from 0.4 percent growth in the three months to June"
Slower than only Estonia and Romania eh?
:rotfl:
I did say "This one I can almost guarantee that certain remainers will rush to deny in their apoplexy ." and I was proven correct.

If the political aftermath of such a remain decision was a swing to a hard right/hard left in UK politics, would you consider it a reasonable price?
I'm asking, not making any judgement here.
No, I expect that swing if we leave the EU.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
I have to say - this one tickled me.
It has been found that the leave campaign DID break voting rules, and it was known about before Article 50 was enacted.
That's not the amusing bit though - remain campaigners are now using the remain campaigns breach of the rules to claim that the referendum results should be nullified!
Remain campaign using their own campaigns breaking of the rules to campaign to stop brexit - delicious!!

And just for clarification - I thought the EU had rejected the chequers plan? Just heard on the news that they are now discussing it's acceptance and implementation starting November?
I'm clearly confizzled. Though I certainly remember being told on here that as a leave voter, I (and our movement, me and ukcarper, apparently had a movement, which was cute) had got it all wrong and it wasn't up to the EU to compromise anywhere.0 -

They're afraid that if they rock the boat too much Conservative leadership will transfer to Boris and he would stick two fingers up at themWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

I can't see Boris getting to the final 2 in any Conservative leadership contest, too many Tory MPs despise him.
In many ways I think he prefers that at the moment, far easier to snipe from the sidelines than actually offer up any solutions and take responsibility for their results.0 -

Let’s call it the Boris effect!
Call me cynical, but it wouldn’t surprise in the least if the whole Boris leadership thing is a clever ruse on the British side to extract a better deal out of the negotiations.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -
I'm not sure Boris could negotiate an order in a kebab shop without offending someone. So yeah, I guess he could be our stick to beat the EU with.0

Not sure what you mean, I thought you stated that Leave broke the rules?'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is.
