Hi everyone, I'm back for another week!

Still keeping up to date with my spending diary. Managed 7 total NSD's this month so far, hoping to have the rest of this week the same apart from 1 small spend I already know about.

I'll need to get budgets for August started as I'm due to be paid by Friday this week. Brown envelopes arrived so I'll get working on using them for food shopping etc to stick to the budgets! DH seems on board so that will be nice if he keeps up with me!

Nothing much planned for this week, need to keep eating out the fridge and freezer to use up whats there. Lots of little bits that might make a nice soup, I'll check after work.

I'll also need to check the vegetable seeds we have left, see if there is any late planters for autumn/winter veg. We enjoyed the rain last night as we didn't have to water the garden :rotfl:
I've got plenty of beetroot and celery growing, with lots of raspberries and blackcurrants most days. Broccoli's are coming along really well too, hopefully we'll get a good crop this year. Had a pea risotto last night using the early fresh peas from the garden, oh it was delicious! Served with ys garlic bread from the freezer!

I need to chase up the amazon seller where I bought my dehydrator from, it's not worked since I bought it and I feel they are dragging their feet in swapping it over. Bought in the hope of storing and using all the excess herbs, fruit etc etc from the garden, plus any YS foods I can't use or freeze.

Hope everyone has a good day, and hugs to those who need it x

Hi Chandelier, and Thrice :D Welcome to this fantastic thread - we're a friendly bunch so please continue just to jump right in.
Busy day for me today but another spendy one as well. I have been to the Swedish furniture emporium to buy things that I'd been putting off doing until the holidays. DS needs a new bed frame while dd needs new drawers. I also like to stock up on things like batteries and magazine storage when I'm there - so I made a list, packed me and dd into the car and off we went. £144 lighter but we have drawers and a bed frame, plus most of the things on my list.
Also did a little top up shop at Mr S, as we had no bread in the house. DS has a friend staying over tonight and I wanted to be sure that we at least had the option of toast in the morning. :D
Nothing crossed off the annoying jobs list but I feel as though it's been a busy and productive day - I should have had buying the new furniture on that list thinking about it.

    Morning all :hello: :coffee:
I am incredibly tired today - no hope of a decent sleep when there's a sleepover going on, our house just isn't big enough to hide from the noise.
Also no hope of a nsd but I am well budgeted and I know where all of the money I need is coming from. DD went out with friends last night, and got home very upset because she had lost her house key. I've had a bit of a think and decided that as she was a long way from home, and there are no keyrings with identifying features then we're probably ok just getting another one cut - which she will pay for.
I want to try and cross a couple of things off the annoying list as well and if I write it down then I become more accountable.
    Getting dd's blazer dry cleaned
Returning an outfit that I thought was amazing but makes me look like a dumpling
Go to dd's school uniform shop and get the order for next year on the go.
Flat pack furniture is still flat packed and will remain so until the kids sort their side of the deal out.

    Morning,

It's a lovely day here today.

The boy is off to an indoor climbing place that we bought a summer pass for this morning. It cost me £40 for six climbs but that has saved us £31.70. The boy really enjoys it so it will be well used. We are then hopefully going for a walk this afternoon with my friend who we haven't seen in a while so we will grab lunch at home then set off. It's about a 2 mile walk around the trail so the exercise and fresh air will do us good.

I managed to get everything done on yesterday's to do list.

    - Make smoothies using up fruit that has gone soft. (We made a strawberry and banana smoothie which the boy gulped down. We still have some leftover fruit).

    - Check out what food we have in our freezers and make a meal plan for the week from that. (I went through each freezer and wrote an inventory. I then have created a meal plan for the rest of this week which we should hopefully stick to).

    - Go food shopping. (Food shopping completed. A total spend of £44.06 so we came under budget. We went to both Aldi and Iceland as they are close to one another and both had things we needed. We got 10% off at Iceland- that is for all emergency services until 29th July).

    - Chop up leftover mushrooms and freeze. (Half the mushrooms used for tea and then the the rest chopped and frozen).

    - Use up some chicken for dinner. (We had Spanish chicken with mashed potato for tea).

    - Go to the gym. (I managed to get to the gym last night and did an hour of exercise).

    - Go for a walk with the boy and my friend.
(We went for a walk, the boy on his scooter then he had a play on some climbing frames. He then had an icecream).

    - Check online banking. (All online banking checked and up to date).

    - Write up a budget for next month. (A budget has been written up and I'm all set for next month and what it brings).
    --

    Todays to do list

    - Make smoothies with remaining fruit that has gone soft.
    - Check online banking.
    - Defrost one freezer.
    - Go to the gym.
    - B/L/D from stores.
    - Go for a walk with sons dad.
    - Clean out fridge.
    - Write on reflection for work portfolio.
    - Pack boys stuff ready to go to his dads for a sleepover.
    - Go to indoor climbing centre.
    - Text a few friends/family members for a catch up.
    - Organise freezers into seperate categories.
    - Fill one bin bag from my bedroom.

Today is a bit more lax but we have plenty to keep us occupied.

    Have a great day everyone.
