Well done on the xmas bargains. I always tried to get my kids presents first so they were guaranteed to get the main thing they wanted... Now they both want money LOL.

Haha, yes I've only started on DC3 because he's easy to buy for. The other 2 don't have a clue what they want apart from money. If we're in the new house before Christmas we might get something like a trampoline for them to share. Otherwise, I've got some confetti balloons in a drawer somewhere that I might stuff with some cash and they can burst them on Christmas day.

I like the balloon idea... May have to look into that... Where did you get them from?

They're leftover from a birthday ages ago but I  think it was either home bargains or the pound shop.

Trampoline is a great idea - get the biggest you can afford as I think you have a load of space - it will pay you back.  Its like a £200 extension - you will not see the kids inside for weeks at a time, and its really good for core strength too
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

Thanks Mark. Yes I want a big one that I can use with DC3 too (well that's the plan but I'm not sure when I'll actually find the time).
  • Grocery shop again this morning and it came to around £80, which is really high for us. We did get a few extra pizzas & snacks as DD is having some friends over on Friday, but even so it added up to more than I expected. I think we need to go back to basics of strict meal planning & shopping lists.

We went for a walk in the hills this afternoon and managed to see the wild ponies, which was lovely.

I'm feeling a bit out of sorts at the moment. Probably a combination of stress over the house move, and feeling a bit overweight and frumpy. I'm struggling a bit with motivation but am really trying to eat better and move a bit more to shift some of the weight. Also trying to look after my skin and overall appearance a bit better. I had an led face mask for my birthday, so have given that a go this evening, along with some under-eye patches to stop me looking quite so tired. I've also managed 2 glasses of water today. We've got a family wedding to attend in a fortnight. I'm not expecting miracles in that space of time, but would like to feel a bit better about myself and look my best.

Well done on the self care. I think you have been on a property rollercoaster so not surprising you have struggled at times.

I felt like that last year when we were in the midst of moving. I would like to say I have improved this year, but tbh I haven't.
