Well done on the xmas bargains. I always tried to get my kids presents first so they were guaranteed to get the main thing they wanted... Now they both want money LOL.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Haha, yes I've only started on DC3 because he's easy to buy for. The other 2 don't have a clue what they want apart from money. If we're in the new house before Christmas we might get something like a trampoline for them to share. Otherwise, I've got some confetti balloons in a drawer somewhere that I might stuff with some cash and they can burst them on Christmas day.3

I like the balloon idea... May have to look into that... Where did you get them from?Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

They're leftover from a birthday ages ago but I think it was either home bargains or the pound shop.2

Trampoline is a great idea - get the biggest you can afford as I think you have a load of space - it will pay you back. Its like a £200 extension - you will not see the kids inside for weeks at a time, and its really good for core strength tooI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Thanks Mark. Yes I want a big one that I can use with DC3 too (well that's the plan but I'm not sure when I'll actually find the time).1

Grocery shop again this morning and it came to around £80, which is really high for us. We did get a few extra pizzas & snacks as DD is having some friends over on Friday, but even so it added up to more than I expected. I think we need to go back to basics of strict meal planning & shopping lists.
We went for a walk in the hills this afternoon and managed to see the wild ponies, which was lovely.
I'm feeling a bit out of sorts at the moment. Probably a combination of stress over the house move, and feeling a bit overweight and frumpy. I'm struggling a bit with motivation but am really trying to eat better and move a bit more to shift some of the weight. Also trying to look after my skin and overall appearance a bit better. I had an led face mask for my birthday, so have given that a go this evening, along with some under-eye patches to stop me looking quite so tired. I've also managed 2 glasses of water today. We've got a family wedding to attend in a fortnight. I'm not expecting miracles in that space of time, but would like to feel a bit better about myself and look my best.2 -
Well done on the self care. I think you have been on a property rollercoaster so not surprising you have struggled at times.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hey @WelshKitty85 I’ve just caught up! You poor thing! What a crazy couple of months you’ve had! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that everything is now moving in the right direction for you!1

I felt like that last year when we were in the midst of moving. I would like to say I have improved this year, but tbh I haven't.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1
