How annoying. Kids can be so inconsiderate and egg each other on. Hope that she's suitably contrite today.

I think DD has realised the error of her ways, although she still has some making up to do!

Grocery shop this morning. It came to £60, which is better than is has been lately, but I was hoping for less since we're trying to run down the freezer.

We've done some pumpkin carving since getting home. I've made some spiced pumpkin soup as well as a leek and potato soup for tonight. Leftovers will be lunch in the week.

Also spent some time with DC3 making a cake.

I'm now going to spend an hour on the sofa with a coffee whilst watching rubbish TV.

Sorted. It looks lovely. I definitely want to have made my orange loaf cake again - and it was super easy as I have a food processor but still not quite done yet. Perhaps it's because the orange bits are fiddly. Perhaps I should go with a vanilla sponge instead.

Orange loaf cake sounds delicious. I'll have to give it a go.

Pumpkin soup was really good and bonus that there's plenty left for lunches in the week.

Took the dog out this evening so hopefully that's walked off some of the cake calories.

Well done on the walk. I made 2 orange loaves today.... Slightly over-cooked them this time but they are still tasty.

Better overdone than a soggy bottom SH - is a good rule in life
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

  • So, our solicitor is back in work...sellers solicitor is on leave! You couldn't make it up! However, when I pressed the issue, our solicitor agreed to contact someone else in the same practice. Completion is unlikely to be next, week but we're on track for the week after. Hoping for another update tomorrow.

Business has picked up a little and we've had about £100 worth of orders this week.
