We move on Friday. There’s still so much to pack! DC3 is made up with his presents so is happily playing whilst I carry on boxing things up. I still need to finish his cake though and we have visitors coming to see him later. It’s definitely going to be a manic few days.3

Thank you all. We’re in! The key handover was late as the seller hadn’t finished packing and she’s left it in an awful state with junk everywhere - house, outbuildings and fields. The heating wasn’t working either. DH has contacted the solicitor about it because she’d signed to say it would be clean and cleared of rubbish, so they’re looking into claiming for the cost of it to be cleared.
Having said all that, we love the house. We’ve been painting ever since we got in and new carpets are being fitted tomorrow. We can then get all the furniture into the right rooms and it will look like a different house.6
