Sorry about other delays. How frustrating. Had similar experiences with divorce.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

No confirmation from the solicitor but estate agent thinks we're aiming for completion next week. The main issue holding us up was resolved today. Later than we wanted, but will be nice to get in there, give it a lick of paint, get clean carpets down, then hang the Christmas decorations.2

Solicitor has confirmed that all parties have agreed for completion next week. I've had an email from the mortgage provider about releasing funds and now I have butterflies in my tummy. It actually feels real!3

Progress at last. How long has it been? If I remember rightly you had a buyer drop out and then found a new one straightaway? It will be worth it once you're in. Presumably slightly bad timing for your business... How's that going?Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thank you both. That's right @savingholmes we were hoping to complete in the school holidays so the DCs could start a fresh term in their new schools. But there were delays which lead to our buyer pulling out. We're about 3 months later than planned completing but it's only been about a month since we managed to re-sell.
We've made a proper start on packing today and I underestimated how long it's going to take. We've almost run out of boxes already too so will need to go and beg some local businesses for some more.2 -
It's a lot to get done. You'll make it - but I imagine you'll be bone weary by the endAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I’m buzzing tonight! Tomorrow is exchange day and DC2 is going for a tour of his new school. Managed to get a few more boxes today. Tomorrow is my last day in work (and I’m taking an extended lunch for the school visit) so after that we’ll be in full on packing mode.
Having said that, it’s DC3s birthday on Wednesday so we’ll have to make time for cake and present opening. I’m sure he’ll spend a few hours playing happily with new toys whilst we pack some more.3 -
