Hi all, hope everyone is doing well.Been a while since I checked in. The school holidays went by so quickly with work, days out and getting out with my brother to train for the hike. DS also got himself a job at a pub so was late nights picking up for a few weeks, he's no longer there now.We never got to do the hike, had to defer our spots to next year's event. Around 2 weeks before, we was out walking when my brother said he didn't feel well. Very unlike him as he's rarely poorly but he got slowly worse as the days/weeks went on. Knew something was not right at all when he turned yellow! Lots of tests and a stay in hospital. Turned out he had caught a viral infection that had attacked his liver. He's still not over it and he has to have weekly tests to check liver function but thankfully they figured out what was going on. Have never ever known him to be so wiped out.DS had joined to do the accountancy course at college and had a little job at the pub in the kitchens. Then he got offered an accountancy apprenticeship 😁 the college course is part of the apprenticeship and they paid for all the fees too 😅 we had planned to pay anyway but rather them than me 😆, used the money to buy him new shirts, trousers and shoes. He is enjoying it and they also pay for his bus pass so he doesn't need to use his wages towards that, saving £28 a week. He works at the office 4 days a week 9-5 and one day at college. He seems to be in a much happier headspace lately, and shows how much going to school was getting him down.My job is still going great and I feel I've settled in well. DH has been busy and worked in London for the week last week, was odd for him to be away after so long of him not staying away. I have also started doing the work for my other brother I do every year in the run up to Christmas, painfully dull and it hurts my hands but easy money really and will go towards Christmas costs.Need to sort out budget for October. Money seems to be going fast and I have to budget in a weekend trip to London at the end of the month (have got a place to stay for free) quite a few family birthdays and a bit for a Halloween costume DD wants to make for a party at my sisters.I hope everyone is keeping well. Going to catch up on the diaries xSPC 0765

All sounds good, well done to DS. Glad your brother is recovering ok x"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney1

Thank you, jwilBudget done for October, upped the shopping budget as that seems to be costing a lot lately. Really need to get petrol tomorrow. I had filled my car a couple weeks ago but now nearing an empty tank. Same situation as everywhere around here, either long queues or big signs saying no fuel. Had planned a trip to see a friend on the weekend but will have to postpone if I cannot get any, it's not essential but would be nice as haven't seen her since 2019.Met with with parents and sister for breakfast this morning, was really good! Felt absolutely stuffed after, but had to get to work. Was a quieter one today so not too bad. An apprentice started today so I'm no longer the newbie 😆.Booked an appointment at the doctors through the NHS app. Never knew that you could book appointments through it until the other day. Also had my medical history on there, going back to my first ever jab when I was a baby 😳. I would like to chat to them about my migraines and constant lack of sleep. Was nice not to sit on the phone on hold for ages to get through to book an appointment.Got the Halloween decorations down from the attic. As DH was bringing them down one of the boxes broke and he was left holding an empty box whilst everything crashed to the floor 🤦🏻♀️ a few things broken and glued back together but gives them a bit more of a Halloween effect 😆👻.Booked train tickets and the hop on, hop off bus tickets for London. Really looking forward to it. A man who DH does alot of work for, owns a penthouse is Mayfair and we will be staying there (for free!). My parents gave me some money today, towards having a meal out when we are there, was thankful and honest and said I won't be sitting in a restaurant when we can have food delivered to a penthouse 🤣. We had originally planned to stay there for DS's 16th but that was during lockdown and he recently asked if we was still interested, very kind.Usually have my nephew on Thursdays but he had a birthday party to go to, so he will be coming tomorrow instead. Spoke to my brother today, seemed more chirpier and getting back to his usual sarcastic self 😆. So pleased as he's been proper miserable and snappy, totally unlike him. The last time I remember him being poorly was when he caught chicken pox at 17 and that was 20 years ago!SPC 0761

Not being the newbie - priceless.
Things are getting more expensive in the shops. Relentless even
Glad to see such a post ful of future plans - haven't been a lot of them about at the momentI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine2 -
Wow, a penthouse in Mayfair sounds amazing! Enjoy it
We can't book appointments through the app, but we can send questions and they'll call back, so it's not far off. It's great being able to see my medical history though, it's really handy to check when things happened."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney2
