Thank you all 😊 progress was made as when DH came home from work he had started an econsult with the doctor, they have text to say a doctor will ring at some point soon, just knowing he's finally looked is a relief.

A super lazy day. Apart from sorting some washing out, we have done nothing but play games and eat some of the Christmas treats. We had planned on going out for a walk but it was such a horrible wet and windy day out. Looking forward to getting back to a proper routine next week though.

Bought DD some new school trousers for the new term so £13 spent on those.

Plan for today is to sort January's budget out and see what we are working with.
That's great about the Doctor - sorry if I sounded a but preachy but my OH's friend really needed someone to take steps on her behalf.

Our day just got lazier as our 2 out of 3 of our NYE guests have tested +ve - I love this time of year and although we have plenty to do, just itting listening to the radio or doing family stuff is super nice.

I'm leaving January budget to NYD as we are not going anywhere anytime soon
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

Thank you everyone and a very Happy New Year to you all.

We all ended up going to my brothers for some food and drinks on NYE, felt a bit delicate yesterday 🥴. My dad got taken back into hospital on NYE and has only been put on a ward this evening. Went up to theirs today to help my mum get the Christmas decorations packed away and tidied up. Took her a while to accept he won't be allowed visitors, but attempted to show her how to video chat, don't think she's managed it since I came home though 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Budget done for the month, was slightly better than I was expecting so that's a bonus. Spends today were £25 for a present for DHs birthday in the month and £12 for my nephews this week. Let DD count up the coins in the change jar and she now has 51 squares coloured off her trampoline chart 🤸‍♀️.

Just me and DD home today. I gave DS a lift to work this morning, don't have chance to very often but like to when I can as he really does hate the bus, going to pick him up aswell.

Yesterday I took DD to BF's as her girl is back at school today, so they played for a few hours whilst we had a couple coffees. Had to pop into my mums to sort some stuff for her and pick up some parcels to post. Shopping was delivered, I did switch to going to lidl for a while and I did like it but I just found it hard work to fit it in, as it's a 40 minute round trip so went back to our delivery saver. There is a new lidl being built a couple minutes down the road though, not opening til summer time, but will definitely be easier to fit in time to go there.

Also packed the Christmas decorations/tree away yesterday and they are back in the attic. Just need to get down the outdoor lights. Going to give the house a good clean today and then take DD out for a walk somewhere.

I used to do some of my shop at l1dl but found it a faff. I saved money, but lost so much time instead. Couldn't do a full shop there either, so in the end I decided that my budget for food needed to be a bigger priority than something else. Now we get an online delivery once a week and then one shop at @sda for the bits they do that the younger two need (limited diets due to asd). This has been working well, but our food bill is noticeably higher. Offset by not having takeaways or eating out much.

Yes same here, DAL. Could never get everything there, so ended up elsewhere for certain bits and was just taking up too much of my time, plus my car is tiny so was a pain fitting it in, so much easier getting it delivered.

Back to work today, quiet there but busy. We have 8 weeks until the residential groups start again and a long long list of stuff needed doing. Had a walk round to see what needs doing first and got started on some orders.

My sister went to spend time with my mum today, the doctors say my dad will probably be in for another 2 weeks so we will all be taking it in turns to go up and keep her company for a bit. Will pick her up on the weekend to take her to Bristol for my nephews birthday.

My sister also popped here with a nice surprise for DD. Every year for the last 4 years she has made a hamper at Christmas for the staff at the local hospital where my sister works. This year they had a little whip round and she received a thank you card signed by them all and a £25 gift card 😍 very kind of them, DD was very shocked and thankful and said she will put it away towards her trampoline fund 😁.

Had to pick DS up again as his bus didn't arrive, it drove past just as I got there, 45 minutes late! Spends today were £4.50 that I gave to DH to pop to the farm and get a bale of straw for DD, she got an archery set for Christmas and we have set her up a proper target now.

Only my second day back and I'm more tired than I care to admit 😴. Got home from work to giant boxes outside, DS had ordered a new desk and bookcase and they wasn't meant to be arriving until Saturday. As the boxes were going soggy in the rain we started to get them set up and then had to get his old ones out and then sort his stuff out, took us hours and have just sat down for the first time today. My mum is going to have his old bookcase but will try and sell the desk, if it's not gone by the end of the week I will donate it though to get it out of our way. Also had a sort out of his clothes whilst we was sorting and have a bag ready to go for the charity shop and will have to book a tip run for the pile of cardboard and polystyrene outside.

Hoping for a better night's sleep tonight 🤞🏻

The weekend went way too fast. Had a nice time on Saturday seeing family and friends though to celebrate my nephews birthday. Sold the desk, so that's out of the way. Will take the bookcase to my mums this week and he also decided to get rid of a small set of drawers which my niece is going to have for her flat. Went into work yesterday with DD and DS to use the archery range, and I managed to not only miss the target but both nets too and lost an arrow in the woods 🤦🏻‍♀️ luckily no reports of a deer with an arrow stuck in its a** 😆.

Had an email to say DD can start Cubs this week, she is excited to go as her leader will be one of DS's old ones and he's told her what a great leader she is, plus BF's daughter goes to this group too. Hadn't budgeted it in but think she will get 2 weeks free as a trial and then can sort it out.

Going to pop out for a quick walk and a coffee at the new cafe at the docks with my sister this morning, she finishes a shift this morning so we won't be out long and then I will be off to work too. Not sure if my brother is coming too as he has the day off, will have to give him a ring.
