Yesterday was such a busy day at work, didn't finish til gone 5 and then had promised to help my sister with something, come home and got DD and went there and was back just before 8. Got DD to bed and then went up to see my brother for a 'bit' got back in at gone 12 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Got to pop to the chemist and to my parents this morning and help them with some stuff before I go to work. Will be finishing later again, then got to take DD to cubs this evening. Usually have my nephew on Thursday but have rearranged til tomorrow as will be having both of them whilst my sister in law has an appointment.

Realised DD has a birthday party to attend this weekend, glad I checked as I had it in my head that is was next weekend. So have to sort a gift for that at some point.

Was dead on my feet by the time I got home yesterday. Was very busy all day at work with groups, then had to go straight to look after my nephews, got them both fed, bathed and to bed and then come home and did the same 😆

Today, I went with DD to work but was just volunteering today. There is a new garden area being finished off and they had have had a grant to buy lots of bedding plants etc, was around 20 of us there and it was a lovely warm day and the difference it has made is amazing, such a peaceful area now, just a few finishing touches to go.

This evening I took DS to a place where they do 'floatation' it was a birthday gift from my brother and he's been really looking forward to it, and he absolutely loved it, he was so chilled out afterwards. My sister has been a few times and had mentioned she thought he would like it, he said it would definitely like to go again but at £55 an hour, it will not be a regular thing until he's earning again.

Last week was so busy at work and on Friday I took DD to Cardiff for her first concert, had an amazing night but I felt absolutely wrecked all weekend. Also had another check up with the doctor and my BP is still too high so he upped the dosage of one of my pills again and it has really wiped me out, I feel quite odd on them but apparently it should pass.

This week has been more chilled out. Was busy Monday but my brother looked after DD and yesterday I only had to go in for a meeting and off now until next week.

DD has two weeks off school so used our tesco vouchers today and booked a day at a theme park for next week, had enough so we didn't have to pay anything towards the tickets. Will take a picnic so just got to sort extra petrol.

Those theme park days are so good to do - my kids (now older) always hark back to them

Day out at the theme park was good fun, but probably not one of my best ideas considering my problems lately, I really did not feel well after going on a few of the rides. It was a shame as I usually love going on them and it was the first time that DD was tall enough for the big thrill rides, but she still got to do them all with DS, and loved it!

Enjoyed the Jubilee celebrations locally and on TV. DD won tickets to a jubilee party through school and enjoyed that. My brother come back from holiday yesterday, so we went up theirs for a bbq today.

Back to school tomorrow (well today) I do love the holidays but be good to get back into the routine again, seems like she's been off longer than 2 weeks.

Haven't been feeling well this evening, having horrible heart palpitations and feel really dehydrated, my mouth is so dry 😖 even though I'm drinking loads. Think I will ring the doctors in the morning. Sleep doesn't seem to be coming again either, so going to get on with some jobs quietly.

sorry to hear you are not feeling well - difficult to truly enjoy yourself when under the weather, but your kids will remember that day for ages.  calling the Dr seems like the right thing to do given your description

Sounds like you've had a lovely time apart from feeling unwell.  Definitely get in touch with the GP.

Hope you start feeling better soon. Know what you mean about theme park rides making you feel unwell. I certainly can't go on as many as I did when I was younger. Although I have discovered that I love drops and the high speed launch ones and have to avoid ones with too many inversions.

    Hi all,

I did make it to the doctors and my BP was back up very high, so more tests and more tablets and it has started to come back down again. They didn't have any luck bringing my appointment with the specialist any closer, in fact it got pushed to a later date 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Work has been really busy over the last couple months with school groups. Is quieter now it's the holidays although there are groups in every day, they are not as full on as the school residentials.

DS passed his college course and got his first qualification in accountancy. He has also started a full time job (not in accountancy) but is something he also likes doing, and he's happy to be earning again. He has to catch the train there, but annoyingly not long after he started all the trains were cancelled due to track repairs and then the main roads were being shut for various reasons, so none of the bus replacements were showing up as they couldn't get down the lanes. It was costing a fortune getting him there and picking him up , taking him the long way round, although he did give us fuel money and thankfully the trains started running again yesterday. Some days we will still have to take him, as the train times do not work around his hours.

DD broke up from school this week, she only gets 5 weeks summer holidays. Then she went straight off to cub camp. It has been very quiet since Friday without her here.

My sister finally got married and it was the best day ever. It was an absolutely gorgeous wedding and such a fun and lovely day.

    Hope everyone is well.
