That is stunning!
Great that DS went out too"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1 -
I have only been to Stonehenge once. We live about 40mins away! Never went as a kid, I only visited when hubby moved down here 20years ago. Drive past it a lot though 😂Debt free Feb 2021 🎉3

It is one of our favourite spots around here, jwil. Can get very busy during holidays and weekends so we tend not to go around now, but it wasn't too bad and we even managed to get a table next to the river to eat our chips
. There is a house on the hill that was used in filming a Netflix programme, so it's had even more interest because of that. One of the local roads have been shut again this week as they are filming War of the Worlds, always some sort of filming going on around here.
Was about an 1 1/2 trip for us to Stonehenge, I have never been before. Never even drove past. DH has a lot of times from the road, when he used to travel around for work, so really wasn't that bothered about it 🤣 definitely don't think he would have paid to go in, as he's seen them so many times.Work was hot, hot, hot today 🥵. I am one of those that people tell to shut up when I say I can't wait for the cooler weather 🤣. Saw my sister 😁😁 have only seen her once or two since all of this. She caught covid and was in hospital and it has taken her a while to feel like herself again. She should have left for her honeymoon yesterday. She is going back to work in a few weeks, on reduced hours. It really took it out of her 😟.Another happy moment of today was driving past the house my brother is getting and seeing the Sold sign up, he will be back soon 😁. You can even see this house from our driveway so he couldn't get much closer 😆.SPC 0763 -
sounds like you had a lovely day - I think Stonehenge is fabulous to look at, but not for too long - I mean its just a pile of rocks right!!
Lovely to hear your family news - I'm 3 hours from any family and it is a shame, glad your sister is recovering, albeit will be slow.I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine3 -
That is a shame, mark. Apart from one brother, we will all be close by now. He is only less than an hour away but pigs will fly before he would move here, he's a city boy 😆.Spent a lovely day with BF and the girls, just stayed in her garden in the shade.DD has been saving all her money she has been given for doing jobs at home and at work, my boss gives her a bit most weeks she's in, aiming to save for a new bike. The one she learnt on was a bit bashed after falling off quite alot. She has had her eye on a few different ones, and today one popped up locally for £40, still selling online for £135. She had enough and she is so pleased with her new bike 😁. We put the old one up free to collecter and it has already gone and out of our way. This week a new lidls has opened nearby. Before our nearest one was nearly an hours round trip. I used to do monthly shopping there when DS was little and I did like it and it is undeniably cheaper for most items. Now I'm torn, because I have just started being able to get our weekly slots again and I really do not like going shopping but it's so close now and I know we could probably make a decent saving if we switched.Cannot believe we are going into August tomorrow, this year has been so odd. Ending the month with an overspend on the shopping budget of £41.29, was doing so well up until last week. Stayed in budget with everything else though. Ynab has been scrapped already 😆 I just can't get my head around it and much prefer a pen and paper, it doesn't seem to sink in otherwise.Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.SPC 0762

Not as hot today, but very muggy. Had a weird day at work, made so many stupid mistakes. I felt so hot and bothered and could have cried, was so glad to finish.Anyway, decided to cancel my slot and go to the new lidl, I liked it and got lots for our money, spent a bit more than usual but some stuff is bigger quantities so should last longer, plus I got myself a bottle of ameretto 🙈 won't drink it in one go this time. Bumped onto my nephews partner, nearly didn't recognise her with a mask on 😆. I think I'm going to have to get new masks, the ones I get make me real sweaty and my skin has been awful since I've been wearing them. Really don't won't disposables but definitely need thinner ones. My glasses steam up too, which really isn't ideal. Online shopping is so much easier 😆.Other spends today have been ordering DS a backpack for Sixth form. Apart from new pens, pencils and pads for DS, they are both sorted for September. I am really going to miss them when they have to go back 😔.SPC 0764

DS went to visit his friend again today, whilst he was out I was going to take DD out in the woods on her bike, but a lot of roads were closed by the police due to a rave in the woods, so we went to the lake instead for an hour. Was hoping to go and see my nephews new place today, but he had gone to my sisters so popped into see them both before picking DS up, was nice to see them both.We have had new neighbours move in a few doors down this week, annoyingly they blocked our driveway for hours today, no need for it as they have their own drive and there is plenty of room to park without blocking anyone's 😤.Ordered DS's stationery, came to £11.57. But that's them both sorted for next month. Who knows if they will be there for long, or we will end up in lockdown again as everyone keeps saying 🤷♀️.SPC 0763

I hope so too, Abba. I saw today that they haven't used their drive again but parked on the road, but not blocking anyone so all good.Well, not only did I sleep all night, I turned all my alarms off and DD slept in, so was over an hour late for work 🙈. Luckily they were just pleased for me that I'd had a good night's sleep 😆. After I took DD back out on her bike. The bike is bigger and has gears but she is doing well, although I had to laugh when she crashed into a bin (she was fine). DS was out on his skateboard when we got back and had just fallen off too, so was hobbling about. Other than that, just tidied the garden up a bit and did some housework.Oh, I had an email from one of the creditors saying they haven't been receiving payments. Looked back through on the bank and it shows that it's gone every month, right account number and ref. I tried to call but couldn't get through so have emailed them. Will give it until the end of the week and try again if I don't hear back.SPC 0763
