Sorry to hear you are struggling with your sleep too, hopefully all goes well with the house sale/move.

We have got a car ☺️ perfect for what I need it for and will be so great to have some freedom back again. I have only ever driven our car since I passed nearly 8 years ago, so it did feel a bit odd but have been on two drives around today and getting used to it. They put it through an MOT last week and only had advisory on the one tyre, but he dropped the cost to reflect that. We paid the tax and insurance for the next 6 months. Also came with 3/4 tank of fuel, so they will do us for our day out on the weekend ☺️. Did spend another £35 on a discovery parking pass, my parents usually buy this for my birthday but as everything was shutting down, I told them not to worry and they bought me some sun loungers instead 😆. Still have a nice bit saved to go towards saving for another newer one.

Fitbit is getting me moving again, have done 17,038 steps so far today. Can't get it to sync the sleep record since I've recharged it though, maybe I'm not getting enough 😆.

Was great to just go to work today and not worry about lifts or needing to be back to pick DH up etc. Afterwards we went for a walk and to see BF.

Spends today for a bit of shopping to last til the weekend. Our online shop is higher than usual though as need to stock up on quite a few bits, extra picnic stuff for the weekend and I ordered DD a present to put away for her birthday, will hopefully still be able to come within budget this month 🤞. I also ordered a new big flask, have wanted one for ages so used my weekly money.

DS has been a bit down in the dumps today, he's been doing really well lately but I'm sure there will always be days like this. I managed to get him up and out of the house for a while, distracting him definitely seems to help his mood. He did however comment that the CD player in the new car isn't good for his OCD, as it doesn't show the volume number 🙈 (he is very particular about numbers) but it didn't stop him singing along to the Beetlejuice musical CD I got him ☺️.

Oh the number obsessions! My 11yrold is the same. Numbers and letters. Luckily ocd hasn't reared its head with him yet, but his anxiety is definitely increasing as he grows so am aware it may well appear.

Must admit beetlejuice isn't a musical that appeals at all. I didn't like the film, although I didn't see it as a teen (whole back story to that and I am still bitter nearly 30 years later 🤔😂) so I don't think it has the same power to impress when I saw it in my 30's!

Did you see Hamilton on Disney +? It's not been one I have been bothered about but me and my daughter thought it was ok. I found it a lot easier to follow than people made out, and even not knowing much American history, I still felt it made sense! I had got the impression that it was much faster and didn't explain things well if you didn't already know the story! Anyway it's now on my list to book next year at some point, the FB group I am on has lots of reviews of the cheaper seats so will be going with those.

DS has always had a thing about numbers, probably why he loves doing maths equations so much 😆. He once was in a meeting and they asked how he was and as usual he scored his day, think he said 7/10 and the lady said she didn't want to know a number score, and he got up and walked out 🙈. Numbers just make sense to him, I've gotten used to it. Numbers, musicals and astrology are his joy.

We have watched Hamilton, I did know some of the songs beforehand as DS has listened to it so much. I had heard the same about it being hard to follow, but I didn't find it to be and I enjoyed it. DS loves Lin Manuel Miranda so has watched it over and over since it came on Disney+. I am not enjoying the beetlejuice soundtrack as much as some of the others, but some okay songs. School of Rock is coming to Bristol next year and would love tickets. Heather's got rearranged for next February, had to pay a bit extra to move it to the Saturday as originally was going next week and it would have been the school holidays. Have Six booked again for November, will have to wait and see on that one.

Thank you, jwil. I am loving the new car. It's not got as much oomph in it as the other, but I have only ever drove a GTI turbo 😆.

Felt a bit sorry for DD at work today, she looked bored just waiting around for me again. So ordered her some new colouring books, as she's finished most of hers during lockdown. She doesn't moan but can see she's not overly happy about being there either.

Popped in to help my mum and dad afterwards. My dad randomly had bought me a bottle of disaronno as a treat 😋 definitely will be having a couple of those tonight. DH stopped off on the way home and got me some caffeine free coke to go with it.

DS told me two weeks after his induction week ended that he was told he needs a certain calculator for his advanced maths class, so that was £20 (his one from school wasn't the right one), was on offer from £30+. I shouldn't moan, I remember telling my mum I needed one the day of my maths exam and she had to drop it off to school for me 😂. Just need to get him a bag and a few stationary bits and they are both sorted for September.

So a few extra spends that were not budgeted for, but we have done well this month with our shopping budget so have taken it from there. Have downloaded ynab app again too, to give that another go.

My flask came today, does it show my age how excited I got about it 🤣? I visited my brother recently and was very impressed with his retractable hose reel, we all commented that we are getting old 😆.

Lol at the flask comment! Highlights of my year have been a new kitchen bin and new rotary washing line 🙄😂

Glad it's not just me 😆 my new flask is great.

So, that 'one or two drinks' ended up with me drinking nearly the whole bottle Friday night 🙈 DH had a friend around and we sat in the garden all evening, it just went down too easily. Work was grim Saturday.

Yesterday, we went to Stonehenge for the day. Took a picnic and my flask 😁 but did buy ice creams and they both chose something in the gift shop, some of the cost covered by my parents giving them some money. Admission was free as we have a English Heritage card that my BF got me for my birthday, this was the first time we've been able to use it.

It has been torrential rain and very dark all day today. DH went to work for a while but decided against it for the day so he was home to have DD, who was happy not to have to come with me again. Not been up to much else.

DS actually chose to leave the house on his own accord today 😁🤣 and to see another human being 🤗. It has been a long time since he has seen anyone other than family, and that's been limited of course. He's had a few sluggish, low mood days so was really glad he made plans.

After we dropped him off, me and DD walked for hours. We walked up to the view point and then right down to the river, it is a beautiful walk and we bought some chips by the river. My knee started to ache a bit again (I never had problems with my knees until I walked back down Pen y Fan, and has been niggling ever since), might have a look for a knee support. Least my ankle never gave way, my left leg really is a pain 🙄. Parking was free with my pass, only other spend was 5p that DD banged into the wishing money tree.
