    Thank you Jwil :)

DH went away yesterday for the weekend. Feels strange without him here. My brother and nephew come over today so we had a lovely walk around the lake and a play in the park. NSD 9.

Yesterday turned out to be big spends! Met with a friend after work at the cafe. I bought the coffees, she got the cake. Was nice to have a catch up with her.

The big unplanned spend was buying tickets to Matilda the Musical :o so excited though. Got the family deal for £30 a ticket instead of £45. So £123.65 with booking fee. Still expensive I know, but we all love going to the theatre and I thought £30 was quite reasonable for pretty good seats. The theatre is never cheap. We are all really looking forward to it :j

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

Thanks Honeysuckle. Unfortunately I haven't had any more NSDs since I last posted.

Hi Abba, thanks for stopping by. Scary isn't it! Glad your dad is okay now. My mum has remembered most people now but some places are still a bit hazy to her, including the house we all grew up in.

DS has not been doing too good again, so have paid out for extra therapy sessions. Really wish I could help him more, hate seeing him look so sad and lost :( he had a appointment in June to see the psychiatrist but I have bought it forward. So we have to take him next Tuesday. Which means unfortunately, I won't be able to go to see the Spice Girls. I was going on the bank holiday Monday and then staying at my brothers house for the night. His appointment is at 9.30am so wouldn't have time to get picked up and there in time, as they are hours apart. It's a shame as I've been so excited for it, but it is the last thing on my mind at the moment. I have asked my other sister in law if she wants the ticket.

DD is at swimming now. Looking likely that her athletics group is going to be cancelled, so had lots of tears about that :(

On a happier note, DD bought her school photos home, which are beautiful. I got a bonus at work this month and it's been mentioned I might be getting a pay rise. Also my boss paid for one of DS's extra appointments this week, very kind of her.

  • Hi Robin - I'm glad you have got some positives there to keep you going, and well done x
  • I'm sorry your DS is struggling. You must be very worried about him but I'm sure the extra therapy sessions are a good idea. He will probably come out the other side in time. My son developed depression and a mental health disorder when he was eighteen and had to see a psychiatrist and have treatment. He's much improved now, so things do generally get better in time. Especially as your DS is getting such good support from his family :).

    Thanks all.

Yes is very worrying, he's never been this bad and it is heartbreaking. He has been diagnosed with anxiety but think he may have some sort of depression too. Oh yes Abba, we are now paying for private therapy as it was so hard getting him the help through the NHS, although he does still see them too. But they all go round in circles and nothing ever seems to get done. Not bashing the NHS, but unfortunately they seem to have a lot of kids in the same situation and are overrun :(

Well since telling my sister in law this morning that I couldn't get to the concert, my phone has been ringing non stop. My whole family are in uproar that I plan on not going :rotfl: I don't tend to do much for myself and they all know how excited I've been to go. So, my brother will be picking me up early before work and bringing me home in time to leave for DSs appointment. I'm glad I can still go and be there for DS :)
