Thanks. I know I'm probably just being silly but I think what annoys me that most is not that people ask it, but are shocked when I say that, yes they have the same dad. DS does say it feels like we are missing a middle child somewhere though :rotfl: I try not to let it get to me anymore, because as I said its mainly people who really have no direct impact in our lives. I suppose I just compare the two situations and how differently we were treated by people. We are both from big families and I always pictured I would have one too but both of my pregnancies were horrendous, so two is plenty
So, home from work early today as I fell over my own feet and took a good tumble down the stairs  feeling a bit achy and my elbow is a nice shade of purple at the moment. My own fault, wasn't paying enough attention to what I was doing. Going to have a rest as going to the hospital after school with my sister. Have heard my nephew is feeling lots better todaySPC 0760 -
I think you are doing great! I hate how people judge others
Hope you are ok x"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hope you recover quickly from your fall, I had a real scrape when I tripped on a Tory pothole while leafleting for Labour (it was outside a house with a Tory poster) and went sliding. Was sore for days after, and its only just healing properly nowI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine0 -
Thanks both. Sorry to hear about your fall too mark88. I have definitely felt it more today. Have felt real stiff and achy. Popped into work this morning and my sister came round with DS's birthday present and then I had a nice long hot bath, which helped a bit.
Popped to see nephew yesterday, he is still in a lot of pain but his temp and heart rate is back to normal and they've taken him off the oxygen. Some spends getting him some wordsearch books and ice cream. Feel very sorry for him, he is so sore and itchy and is not allowed to leave his room.
Had a yearly statement off Halifax and the balance is £65 less than we have on the SC balance, so will try and update that.
NSD today so 5/11.SPC 0760 -
After a week of dull and wet weather, the sun is shining and bright blue skies. Stripped the beds to get them washed and out of the line. DS was not impressed that I was stripping his bed while he was still in it :rotfl:
DH is working today so I popped to the car boot with DD. Got a puzzle board for £2. DS has had a 1000 piece puzzle he got for Christmas sitting unopened as he had nowhere to do it, so happy to find one for so cheap. DD got a Harry Potter Hat and cushion for £4. Plus a top for myself and a beanie boo for DD for £1 each.
Waiting for the shopping to be delivered now and just spending the rest of the day at home. DD has tests coming up so has been given booklets to practise, so will sit down after lunch and do some of that with her.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend.SPC 0760 -
Hi Robin I have finished your diary and what a lovely read. I am the spender in our relationship and the one who is in charge of finances - not a good combination  our dmp is just ticking along whilst we hope to save for f&f's in the future but we never seen to have much spare.
Your little family sounds perfect. I was 40 & 43 when I had my boys - people assumed I was a career women - no but I didn't meet DH till I was nearly 35 and it took forever to talk pregnant. People judge no matter what. I think it's fab you & DH are still together.
I have 2 loads of washing on the line - love it when I can peg out!
Thank you for visiting my diary. I always wonder if I am waffling to myself xx0 -
Hello BB50. Thank you for your kind words and wow to reading all of my diary from the beginning. Oh yes, some people will judge anything and everything (need a rolls eyes emoji here) one of the reasons I love it on here, all I see is people trying to help others where they can and accepting everyones situation and how they deal with it is different.
I'm also very slowly trying to save for f&f's while the DMP is ticking on in the background but things always seem to come up don't they?!
Two loads on the line here today too :cool:SPC 0760 -
Ugh, slept through my alarms this morning so was all rushing around. Hate starting the day like that. Had to give DS a lift and then get back home to walk DD to school, made it just before the gates closed.
Felt it hard to get going today and work seemed to drag. Got home and hoovered the house and got washing on the line though, didn't dare sit down in case I didn't get back up.
Athletics got cancelled tonight so NSD 6/13.SPC 0760 -
Had the day off yesterday, so popped into see my mum for a while, she is doing good. Also had a doctors appointment about my bad ankle. They have referred me to physio and podiatry, will probably be months before I hear anything but least I'm on the list. Yesterday was NSD 7.
Spends today for DS's meeting after school, have done bank transfer this morning. Just waiting for the washing machine to finish so I can hang it out and then off to work. Hopefully my nephew is coming home today, he's had a long week stuck in that room so he will be glad to get home.
Hope everyone has a nice day.SPC 0760 -
My nephew is home :j my sister said he was looking exhausted and not himself but hopefully he will get a decent rest now. He has got a sick note for two weeks, so at least he has some time before having to go back to work.
NSD 8 today. Today, one of the big budget stores opened a new shop nearby. This is the first bargain shop we've had around here. I wasn't going to bother going today but my sister asked if I wanted to pop in with her. So met her there after work. Well couldn't have bought anything if I wanted to, it was absolutely rammed full and wouldn't have had time to queue before picking DD up. But I didn't actually see anything that I needed anyway. But did see stuff that will be cheaper to get than in our weekly order, so will pop back and have another look at some point.
Quickly popped to see best friend today for a quick coffee too. Her cat went missing last week and it turned back up when I was there, so she was really pleased. A neighbour come down and said it had been in her shed, for 6 days :eek:SPC 0760
