Thanks Jwil, had a lovely night out but unfortunately one sister didn't make it as she is full of cold so not all of us again. We went to bingo, have never been before. We all got a good deal on extra games and a free drink each for £15 as it was our first time. I won £100 :j and one of my brothers won £75. It was fun, not something we will likely do again, we try and so something new each time we meet up. I just really enjoy having a evening out with them all, hopefully next time it will be the 5 of us.

Have a fab day at your nieces wedding mark88man, hope the day is really special. Last wedding I went to was my brothers a few years back, very grand affair and not local so cost a fair bit but was a beautiful day and they were worth it too :) my sisters will be local but I am going to start a new savings pot for outfits, gift, taxi etc.

Today is DH's birthday, not seen him yet as he's working this weekend again. Didn't buy him any big presents, the only thing he wanted was new guitar strings so got him them and a few little bits, going to have a takeaway curry this evening when he is home.

There is a free family fun day on down the road today so going to take DD down there for a little while this afternoon. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

well done on the win, that makes the pleasant sibling time even more sweet. my OH and I was once to see my brother in Holland where they have government run casino's - so that was fun with cheapish stakes, made even sweeter by my OH putting the last of her chips (about £10) on her birthday number and winning. That money paid for our holiday and some expensive steaks at the nearby argentinian steak house

Thanks all :) I have put it away and I am thinking of putting it towards a little break away I've had my eye on. It is a long weekend break and costs £240, I have £60 already in the 'days out' pot that I could use too. It isn't until October so would have time to save spending money too. Wow mark88man, bet that was celebrations all round that night :) fantastic!

Yesterday free day was great, DD had a great time doing different activities and weaved a gorgeous candle holder out of willow. Such a shame that they didn't get a higher attendance as they put on alot and there was even free food and drink. We all enjoyed a takeaway curry when DH was back from work, for his birthday.

Today was spent at home, DS decided he wanted to change his room about so helped him with that and just potted around the house, DD has decided yoga is her new favourite thing so was sat doing that :rotfl:. My mum is still in hospital, haven't been to see her yet, she is likely to be in for a few more day so will catch the train up one day while the DC are at school. This weekend went fast!

Brrr, temperatures have sure dropped the last few days, no snow yet but was late for work this morning after having to fight with the car to get the door open :rotfl:

Not really been up to much this week, DD is a little snotty so didn't go to athletics. DS had a opticians appointment for his eye test and new glasses, he picked a free pair this time, they really suit him. I have always said he is to pick what he likes and never to worry about the cost as he wears them all day, everyday. The ones he's picked before have ranged between £0 - £70. He usually gets a new pair every 6 - 12 months. Anyway, he's happy with his free pair this time, so even better. Trying to build up the 'glasses' pot for myself as I am due at the end of the year, and last time I actually came home and cried because they cost too much :o

DH's payday tomorrow so will sit and do budgets for the month. No council tax for the Feb/March so £162 extra :D Budget went well this month, helped by DH selling some bits so we could buy the DC their new coats. I have managed to pot some of my weekly money every week for the sealed pot challenge, plus £29 in the DPD pot.

All in all, a much better January than we've had for the past few years :)

well done - sometimes you have to look back a year to see how far you have come. weekly or even monthly can be a bit random (at least in my life)

    Thanks both :)

Feeling a bit off the last couple of days again, I wouldn't say I'm ill or anything but don't feel quite right and generally feeling tired out. Was a snow day yesterday but with hardly any snow :rotfl: but schools were cancelled as the teachers had trouble getting in from further away. DH also had the day off, although he had already planned this. So we all had a nice chilled day at home together.

Popped out today with DD, to visit best friend to drop some bits to her and to see my mum who is home from hospital now. I had planned to pop to the shop to pick up some of the easter eggs on offer, but the car park was so busy that I drove straight back out again, least I got another NSD :) also needed to pick up my prescription but realised my pre payment card ran out on Thursday  new one should be here soon hopefully.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
