That's good of them to let you in, glad you enjoyed it.

We was very lucky indeed that they were so kind and let us in
Visitors this morning, then off to my sisters and MIL's. Finally got back home to relax for christmas. Enjoyed a film together whilst having our dinner. Looking forward to having the next few days to rest and be together. First time in a few years it will just be the 4 of us, so will be lovely.
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas :xmassmileSPC 0760 -

Happy New Year
Christmas was wonderful, just the 4 of us. May have took it a bit far when I said I was going to spend a few days at home as apart from being out in the garden I haven't left the house for 8 days :rotfl:. We've had visitors by and I have been sorting the house out again, can't believe how quickly it got cluttered up again, was starting to stress me out. DH has done tip and charity runs and has taken the kids out so I could crack on. I had some lovely gifts, and my parents gave me £50 (a actual £50 note, don't think I've ever had one of those) and with the money left that my boss gave me last month I have enough to pay back my sister in law for the Spice Girls ticket
Budgets have been done for the month, tight but doable. Was so nice to have shopping delivered on Sunday with some fresh food and fruit, know its time to get back to normal when there is candy canes instead of fruit in the fruit bowl :rotfl: Do owe my mum £10 as she picked me up a bundle of Christmas cards, wrapping and crackers for next Christmas. DH took our weekly money out last week so can use that tomorrow when I see her.
Back to normal tomorrow and back to work.SPC 0760 -

Hi Robin
Happy New Year! In a very similar situation as yourself. I am single and have two kids.
You seem to be doing very well with the budgeting and here's to 2019 being a great year and knocking out a lot of the smallest debts you have!Debt Fully Paid Off (20/06/2019): £54,441.87

Thankyou both
here's to a great 2019! Shteca, have subscribed to your diary. I need to stop lurking on the diaries as I love them all, but never know quite what to say
A shocking night's sleep meant I went back to work very tired. But back to it and DD was good as normal. Spent time playing with their dog and doing her colouring books. Went to visit best friend after, spent a lovely afternoon there.
Back to work this morning and then we popped into see my parents to help them take their christmas decorations down. I do go up there quite a bit to help out when I can (they both have health issues). Today though they've asked if I will do their ironing as the lady who did it can no longer do it. I really dislike doing ironing but it will help them out and they have said they will pay me £25 per time, so a little extra money for a while.
Had to pop to the sorting office as had a card through the door to say I had a letter with not enough postage so had to pay £2 with handling fee. My Nan had forgot to put any stamps on :rotfl: but the lady said as it was a Christmas card not to worry about paying
Used the last of my weekly money on getting my nephew a birthday present for the weekend. Also did a online order for gifts for DH's birthday and best friends DD, all budgeted for.
Have been given a new terramundi pot. I love it. It is a Only Fools and Horses one (my all time favourite) and says 'he who saves wins' I plan on only putting £1 coins in this and this will be the debt pay down pot. Really need to sit down and look into going self managed at some time in the near future.SPC 0760 -

Thanks Pidge, Happy New Year to you too
A lovely day out with best friend and the DC in the woods and park. Was so much colder than I had expected though, my feet were frozen. Went prepared with coffee in our mugs and drinks, snacks for the children. Have my parking pass so no parking charge either so a nice free day out.
Signed up for the NSD challenge. Aiming for 15 or more this month. Got 3 so far.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend.SPC 0760 -
Annoying tickly cough means I haven't been to sleep yet, only a few hours until the DC have got to be up for school. Think I may aswell give up now.
Spent the day at home on Saturday, played games and watched films. Had to order DD a pair of runnning shoes for athletics. Yesterday we travelled to visit my brother and family for my nephews birthday. Was lovely to see everyone and I paid my sister in law for the ticket, so that's all done.
Our shopping delivery never arrived yesterday. First time that's ever happened. Rang them up and she said the driver hadn't done any of his deliveries and they were unsure why. Wasn't much she could do as it was already 10.30pm, apart from cancel it and rearrange for today. I have nothing in for the DC for school packed lunches so will have to give DS some money to grab something on the way. DD won't be happy about it but she will have to have the hot dinner menu. They did give me a £10 goodwill gesture voucher.
I had plans to get my house cleaned today when they are at school but considering I haven't been to sleep yet, will see how I go.SPC 0760
