Nice to get that debt reduction :T
Glad DD is better now."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Thanks Jwil, it was a nice letter to receive out of the blue
Unfortunately I spoke to soon about DD, she woke me up this morning at 3.30 crying with a headache and a raging temperature. She slept pretty much the whole day, so obviously needed to sleep it off. She seemed to perk up around 6pm but still didn't fancy anything to eat and is now tucked up fast asleep in bed again, really hoping she is better for her birthday this weekend. Sorry to hear your little one is poorly too Jwil, so much going around
Payday for DH so have done the budget for the month, phew it's going to be tight but I have budgeted in quite a few extras as we have the days out planned and more family birthdays. We should be okay, as pretty much sorted for Christmas now and I'm happy there is some to go towards the extras at all. Got all the decorations down from the attic today, so hopefully we will get that up tomorrow all being well. We are meant to have family visiting to see DD for her birthday, but am holding them off for now as she isn't well.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend.SPC 0760 -

Thanks Pidge, so happy to see you smashed paying off one of your debts :T
So DD has been up and down. We managed to get out for her birthday, think the excitement perked her up a bit. Ice skating was great fun and she loved Build a Bear (think it was WelshKitty who mentioned the birthday bear. Thankyou!!) she chose that one and with a couple extras including outfits her main present came to £34.50, she absolutely loves it. We didn't go out to eat, so have the pizza vouchers for another time.
She was very lucky for her birthday though, got some really lovely gifts and cards from family and friends. She is looking forward to going to Go Ape with my brother when she is well.
After her birthday she has been bad again. Worse part is her lips have all cracked and swollen, doctor said she is just very run down and fighting off some infection, although no obvious signs of what kind. She's been struggling to eat and she is a little thing anyway, so looks like she's wasting away
Have been staying home with DD so haven't been in work much. But my lovely Nan sent us an unexpected cheque for £300 so that will come in real handy this month. Still haven't had chance to go anywhere to finish Christmas bits that I cannot get online, it sure is creeping up fast now!SPC 0760 -
Poor thing. Hope she's feeling better soon.
Glad she liked the birthday bear. We got one for DC3s first birthday, so only £1!0 -
Thanks WelshKitty, she's definetly feeling better than she was and I hope she is well enough to go back for the last couple weeks of term, as they have lots planned. I was wondering if she would change her mind about the bear when she saw the other options but she said the birthday bear was the cutest
she adores it. Wish she'd skipped the birthday song inside though as we keep hearing it going off in the night :rotfl:
Work yesterday with DD tagging along again, then went to see my best friend. I really fancied a drink this weekend. I rarely do, think the last time I had a drink was in May at my brothers 40th party. So, spent half my weekly money on some rum and coke. Will last over Christmas and I enjoyed a few small glasses last night
Some great news is that my brother and sisters Brother is being flown back this week, all being well. He has a long long way to go until he is better. But after numerous surgeries and rehab he is coming back here to a rehabilitation center. So pleased as it will be a relief for them all to get him 'home'.
Me and DS are catching the train tomorrow to go and hopefully finish the last bits for Christmas. Not looking forward to it, but needs to be done.SPC 0760 -

Hopefully it will be any day now. They had hoped for sooner but they couldn't get the flight sorted when there was a free bed for him, then the flight got sorted and no free bed. But should be all good to go in the next few days, fingers crossed. His poor mum has not left his side since it happened at the beginning of September, so will be nice for her to get home too.
DD is back at school, also went back to athletics which she really enjoyed. Had to pay £6.20 for her panto trip, glad we didn't miss the cut off date while she was away.
Shopping trip with DS on Sunday went well, got nearly all of what I needed. Did pop to the shops again today with my sister as still needed a birthday present for MIL tomorrow. I think I need 2 more things and I'm done, and will still have a little left over. Went to my mums yesterday to wrap all her presents, do this every year for her and she pays me in boxes for biscuits for Christmas. Will be going back to put her tree up, usually get a tin of chocolates for that :rotfl: Haven't had to buy these for years.SPC 0760 -
They are on their way home today :j its been a terrible few months for them all, made harder because he was in Europe at the time. His company have been absolutely fantastic too, have made sure he's been in the best hospitals with the top specialists, paid for the apartment for his mum and dad, flown family over to see him etc. Just really gone above and beyond to help them all.
Yesterday was a NSD, thankfully as haven't had many this monthwent to put my parents decorations up, got my tub of chocs
then popped see to MIL to wish her happy birthday. Then onto the nativity for my best friend's DD, who had the role of Mary, but refused to get on stage and cried the whole way through, bless her. Poor Joseph looking bewildered left holding the baby :rotfl: then had to come pick my nephew up from the train station and pop him home. After school DD helped me wrap up some of the families Christmas presents. Slept well last night, apart from having some weird dreams.
DH has the car today so he can be home in time for DD's nativity this afternoon. So just going to get the house cleaned and tidied. Have my friend coming over for coffee, and will try and get some more wrapping done. Hope everyone has a nice day.SPC 0760 -
