Glad I'm not the only one, Honeysucklelou. Mood swings in full force with DS at the moment :o

Had a lovely day yesterday. We finally made it to our day out that we booked in the summer holidays to visit the outdoor playgroup DD used to attend. It's no longer in our area, so was a nearly a 4 hour round trip but was so great to catch up with her old leader and both the DC had a fab time, yep DS even smiled :rotfl: we were all stuffed full of campfire foods and had a fantastic day out. With car parking (£5:eek:) a few snacks to take and some flowers for my mums birthday today, I only have £2.50 left of my weekly money, but should be okay. Paid the cheque in on our way, so that should be cleared in our bank next week :)

Off to see my Mum this morning and then home to get ready for the week and wait for the shopping to be delivered this evening.

Oh, DD got another party invite

  • That sounds like a fantastic day out...not come across outdoor playgroups before but they sound fab.

It was the best group, Honeysucklelou. We went from when DD when 11 months until the week before she went to school. It was on every week, no matter the weather and we always had such fun. As it ran through the holidays, DS used to come and help set up the campfire and help cook the food, so he always enjoyed coming too. We really had a blast yesterday. She's really got a good set up there, with a permanent shelter and cooking area. DD has weekly forest schools sessions at school, but she still misses this group, but as it moved away we wouldn't be able to go anyway.

After visiting my mum to wish her happy birthday this morning, we have just had a chilled day at home, may have had a nap on the sofa for a while :D

  • I love forest school sessions, so valuable for learning. I will look out for any outdoor playgroups locally, I'd love to do that with the toddler on my day off.

Hope you manage to find a local group Honeysucklelou. I agree about the forest school lessons, it's still one of her favourite parts of her week, she is always eager to tell me what she has learnt. The school is lucky to have their own private woodland next to the playground.

Have had a few busy days as my brother asked me to do some extra work for him, have had a pounding headache since Monday that just isn't shifting so that's not been good. Luckily I had yesterday and today off from my normal work.

Have been at home though and not spent any money this week apart from £1 for DDs athletics. Have wrapped all DD's presents ready for next week (didn't take long, we've only got her a few bits) have ordered her balloons so just need to sort out her cake and birthday card, and of course pay for her birthday day out, which we are really looking forward too. I am budgeting £100, I know its a lot of money but I would rather have the family day out than buy her toys she don't need.

Been in a bit of a strop today, it may seem trivial as lots of people have real problems going on. But next door got the beautiful silver birch tree chopped down. I get really offended when people chop trees down for no reason so had hoped they had a good one, but nope, they said they were fed up of the leaves going everywhere. Haven't heard anything so ridiculous in a long time. I know it's silly and it's their land but it has still annoyed me. Just thankful that our cherry blossom is nowhere near their boundary.

Hope the headache is better. It's always a shame when people get rid of something you like.

Thanks Jwil, headache eased off. I have been manic with extra work from brother over the last few days so was looking forward to our day out today, did not go as good as I had hoped..

We booked train tickets to go see my niece and to have a look around the Victorian Christmas Market, was so beautiful and festive. Had a lovely wander around although it was so so busy. Had a nice lunch and bought a few bits, mainly food and some Christmas bits. All was well until we went into the Lindt shop and they gave DD a choc ball, which obviously didn't agree with her as she was sick all over me, my shopping and the floor  So many people walked past in disgust but luckily a few lovely people stopped to hand over wet wipes, tissues and anti bac gel, I am so grateful to those people. Ended up chucking most of my shopping in the bin, and spent the rest of the day waiting for the next train absolutely stinking of sick :o it was a long day.

My dad's birthday today but I never made it to see him, so hopefully catch him in the next few days. Anyone get any good Black Friday 'Deals'? My only one was BOGOF on moon pig cards :rotfl: sent my Nan one and got DD's birthday card for next weekend.

Wow, what a wet and windy day. Had a busy few days at home getting work finished for my brother. Took me longer as DD has only been at school one day this week. Kept her home Monday and Tuesday after her sickness at the shopping center, thankfully she's been okay but thought it best to keep her home. She was glad to go back yesterday and was ready to go today when we had a message to say school was closed due to a problem with the heating, so she had to come into work with me. All the work finished now and picked up today by my sister in law, who gave DD her birthday present, who was over the moon to get a present early :) glad to get it all out of the way, as it does make the house feel cluttered and have plenty of room again to put the Christmas tree up now :j

Have done a little more Christmas shopping over the last few day, nearly ticked everyone off my list and I am still in budget, so pleased with that. Booked ice skating tickets today for DD's birthday, which were £30 for a family ticket. We had talked about possibly taking her to see Father Christmas aswell but they were fully booked, so never mind. She has never been fussed anyway and the other day she asked me if he was even real :rotfl:

Ordered a few bits from the wholesaler my brother uses. I ordered a sweet game that retails for £10 in the shops and I paid £4.10 but when they delivered they had sent me a box of 12 instead of just 1! Rang them and they said I can just keep them, so have presents sorted for parties coming up :D

Had a letter from one of our creditors to say they have reduced what we owe by £74.51 as they didn't take appropriate action when we told them of our difficulties.
