Wow! That's brilliant!:T
Welcome sarah. I don't use egg in mash so I'll leave that to denise. I'd say the majority of us on here cook from scratch although we are open to trying the various SW ready meals. I generally do some batch cooking for the freezer so I've got HM ready meals to hand when I'm busy although I am partial to an Aldi Lamb Rogan Josh.:D I'd say that if dairy isn't agreeing with you, lots of recipes will be low syn as you won't want cheese or cream.
ETA: We're just about to start a new challenge. Kathrynha will be asking for a target to take you up to Halloween if you want to join in or you could go target free and just post your losses.
Sounds like you had a good day out sirens. Lots of Body Magic. Good on you for choosing wisely at lunchtime.:)0 -

Thanks so much! Yes, I've heard good things about that rogan josh :-) Oh, I'd love to join the challenge, I'll keep my eyes open, thank you.:T“WHAT WE FEAR DOING MOST IS USUALLY WHAT WE MOST NEED TO DO.” RALPH WALDO EMERSON0 -
Evening everyone.
Welcome Sarah - great loss so far! I'd second Denise's suggestion of googling SW recipes for some ideas from other websites - I used them loads as I was doing SW under my own steam for a year. Two Chubby Cubs is good if you're not of a sensitive nature! There are also links to recipes from these threads in the first post.
Stoke don't worry too much about your holiday - enjoy it, make good choices where you can and just get back on the horse when you get back. If you have an active type of holiday you might find that you don't gain as much as you expect.
Todays menu:
B Bran flakes strawbs and FF yoghurt with honey
L Leftovers! couple of meatballs, cold new potatoes and a big salad with LTL mayo, 2 tangerines
D KFC style chicken with sweet potato wedges and more salad, Aldi benefit bar
The flat peaches are lovely atm so one of those for later
Body magic - more bl**dy decorating. I feel like I've had a proper workout!0 -

Stoke, have a wonderful time... when I was away I had times when I was good, times when I was reasonable and times when I was extremely naughty..... I just went with what I felt like rather than just over indulging all the time. Enjoy x100

Confession.... I fell off he wagon and it ran over me.
DS3 went away on Sunday with work, so OH and myself are home alone really for the first time in 29 years....... so we acted like teenagers having the use of an empty house!!
All I can say is thank god for double glazing and the neighbours poor hearing or we may have had the police visiting!
I promise I will be back on plan tomorrow morning.:D100 -
Thanks for all the tips, learn a lot:rotfl:0

Many thanks! I do go to group, it's just that my personal food choices seem quite different to others so I don't really find it that helpful, particularly with the dairy-free element. I'll certainly have a look at the blogs, and the fakeaways book though, thank you!
I've never tried the egg in mash thing although I've heard of it. Silly question but do you just beat and egg and whisk it through when the potato is cooked and that cooks the egg? My other half has a low immune system so I just need to make sure the egg is properly cooked!
I just whisk the beaten egg into the mash but I wouldn't want to say it's completely cooked as it is only in concact with very hot mash for a short time. I think in your circumstances I'd give it a miss and use some hot stock instead. HTH.
Stoke have a great holiday and remember the mantra Be good when you can and careful when you can't! Usually works for me most holidays apart from in France where it's bread with nearly everything!
