Thanks for that Stoke . That's worth a try. I did try a SW curry once (jalfrezi?) but found it a bit watery. I enjoy Aldi Lamb Rogan Josh but I'd like a syn free chicken curry.

Incidentally how do you get your Speed for the day? I always average mine across the day. Do you have loads of fruit?

I do eat lots of fruit, but I also eat the Aldi garden salads quite regularly. They're not too much (less than a pound I think) and I find quite nice. There's no sauce or anything so if you're put off by 'rabbit food' as I keep getting told, then it might be worth grabbing some vinaigrette.

Thanks for the curry paste recipe denise. I have most of the ingredients so must give it a go. Have a great holiday when it comes.:)

Thanks for the link Stoke. It's good to know about the salads as it's not always practical to buy in all the separate ingredients unless you know you'll use them up. I like balsamic vinegar as a free dressing or a dollop of cottage cheese.

I'm feeling quite fat but also positive as I should have a clear 10 days to focus on SW. No meals out planned, no visitors expected.:)

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB Weetabix with HEA milk, half banana
L: cold meat, fried LO veg, pickled cabbage
D: chicken stir fry with noodles
Syns: 1 for noodles, 2.5 for honey

Thanks Chris and well done Arkers!

Sorry to hear you've been in the wars Beanie, hope you're ok!

The weather is miserable here so I've got a joint of beef in the SC with potatoes, leeks and carrots, and I'm going to have a go at roasting some broc too. I've done enough veg for two meals and am going to use the excess meat to make a curry with aubergine, courgette and mushrooms. Much as I miss the sunny weather, I do find the cooler rainier days easier to cook for.

I'm also slowly but surely getting back to my running - I did a 3 mile run/walk on Sat and this morning ran the half mile to see my gran, stopped for a cuppa, then ran the half mile home - every little helps, eh?

Tete The curry sounds lovely - love both beef & aubergine but don't think I've ever had them together. Although I have to admit to not having a beef joint very often!

Hmm, I don’t know why, but I seem very disorganised these days, which is why I’ve not been visiting here much lately. Time seems to be evaporating.

Thanks for that choccy display, bubbs; it’ll be very helpful. I’m not sure that I should, but I’m congratulating you on your too big loss anyway.

Another great result, Vixstar, B17c and Sunflower.

    Have a wonderful holiday, Denise.

    Well done, SIRENS and beanie.

There’s a Patak’s factory a few miles from me. There’s a Charcuterie Continental there too. It’s strange, they’re in a wee industrial estate in a village. They seem so out of place.

Thanks for the chart, Chris. Well done, Arkers.

Oh my, beanie, I’m sorry you’re having such a tough time; I hope that by now things have improved and the pain has eased.

WI today and I have lost the 0.6lbs that I put on over the previous 2 weeks, so it’s a teeny tiny positive result.
