Maman as promised the curry mix recipe I use:

    https://www.bbc.com/food/recipes/how_to_make_curry_paste_37065

To make the dry mix which I use just grind the spices after dry frying and then add the ground spices and store in a jar with tight fitting lid. You don't have to use a grinder but it makes it much quicker than using a pestle and mortar!

If you want to make the paste just follow the whole recipe.

It makes a tasty curry without too much heat. If you want it hotter then add some extra chilli. I tend to use chilli flakes rather than chilli powder.

There are loads of different curry pastes on line if you want to make a specific curry, eg korma, madras, tikka masala etc.

Give it a go and see how you get on with it.

To use the dry mix just soften the onions, garlic, add ginger, tomato puree & red wine vinegar. If you want a smoother paste then you can puree the mixture.

Add a tin of tomatoes and whatever meat or fish you want.

All washing done (4 loads including bedding). Two loads have been brought in the folded. Will go and get the rest in shortly, It certainly looks as though it's dry, if not I'll leave it out overnight as don't think rain is forecast.

Thanks for the curry paste recipe Denise. Despite living in one of the UKs curry capitals (several towns lay claim to the title!) I confess to using Patak's Curry Pastes, not the sauces, as recommended to me years ago by an Asian lady in an Asian grocers. Most come out between 1.5 and 2 syns per portion, probably all in the oil, and are very easy to use. I'll check my spice stores and see what I've got to make your recipe.

Had a truly terrible weekend, but such is life. It's still a marathon, not a sprint. Hopefully the scales will say something else, but I can't see me getting away with this one :D Onwards and upwards mind.

Good luck for the week everyone :)
