Thank you both, I am really pleased with myself for achieving it. I'd love to get it down to under £100K by the 1st year anniversary, but I'm just not going to find an extra £900, so am not going to put the (self imposed) pressure on myself to do so.
I will continue to pay little bits off it here and there when I can, but also want to get my total savings up to at least £5K asap, so the focus will be on that. It currently stands at £3500 (without the H2S bonus I will receive in a couple of years).
I've paid £60 off the credit card this morning. The balance will be left at around £40 - £50 once a refund has hit, so that will be paid off, and possibly closed down, thereafter.
My car is in for the MOT today and I'm a bit worried there may be some work required. Fingers crossed it's not too expensive.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

The car passed the MOT with only an advisory about one tyre which I will replace soon. I’m so thankful! I had the oil and filter changed as it was needed, to the whole thing cost me just under £100 which has been transferred from the car account. :T
My sister kindly gave me £30 for some work I did for her company this week. It only took me an hour and I was glad to do it for her and didn’t want payment for it, but it’s very kind of her. I have put it into the gifts account to help towards Christmas gifts.
DS is back with me, but seems extremely tired and a bit bothered about something, despite saying everything’s fine.I can only imagine what rubbish the ex puts in his head. Hopefully it’s nothing a bath (his favourite, he doesn’t ‘get’ one at his Dad’s, despite them having one), a good night’s sleep and a cosy pj morning and cuddles won’t fix.
This morning I finally finished the kitchen tiled areas by putting silicone around the edges. It looks good, I’m pleased with the choice of tiles and the fact that I can do these things by myself. If you don’t try, you don’t know, right?
Feeling a bitbut desperately trying to fight it off. I’m going to give my parents a call now and hopefully a chat with them will brighten my mood.

Just a quick chat with my folks as my Mum is not feeling good.
I’ve just paid £10.98 off the mortgage to tidy the numbers up.
Today’s figures:

I’ve listed the engagement ring for sale, I do hope it sells quickly. Fingers crossed, as it will be another nice little extra towards the savings and mortgage if so and will be another bad-memory related item out of my house.
Talking about bad memories, I’ve had another round with the ex tonight after DS told me something quite upsetting at bed time. The ex, as usual, is on the defensive immediately and spouts a load of over dramatic, ridiculous rubbish, but I expect no less. He really is the most selfish person I’ve ever met.
OH came over with a bag full of bargains again tonight! He popped to the supermarket late and picked up lots of YS items, so some have gone in my freezer and some in his.
DS is fast asleep and snuggled in his bed under a lovely fleecy new blanket I bought him which arrived this week. He loves it and couldn’t wait to get into his bed tonight. He was so tired from 3 days at his Dad’s - he doesn’t get much sleep there as the current sleeping arrangements are less than ideal.
This is a warm house, but we now both have a warm blanket on our beds to keep us that little bit warmer at night. I’ve also ordered a flannelette sheet for DS’s bed which will hopefully keep him even more cosy when it arrives.
The weather here is wild outside tonight, keep safe everyone xxMortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

Nothing nicer than a cosy bed to get into at the end of the day. Hope that your ds is ok... and not too badly affected by whatever has happened with his dad.Not giving up

Thanks CCL. You’re absolutely right, I’m loving my bed presently and so is DS. He doesn’t have a bed of his own at his Dad’s presently:mad: (long story) and he just can’t wait to come home here and snuggle in his own bed.

DS and I have been out to a local fireworks event tonight and had a wonderful time! The event was free and we parked quite a way out to avoid traffic and walked in, so parking was also free. I spent £10.50 at the event on an item for DS on a stall, some hot chocolates to warm us up and a snack to share, but it was totally worth it.
We love each other’s company and just laugh and chat most of the time. He is my best friend and my number 1 choice for company always. :heart2::smileyhea
The child benefit was paid in yesterday and the tax credits should hit the bank account tomorrow. I’m really hoping I can spare a nice chunk for the savings and mortgage op. I’m doing ok budget-wise at the moment, but do need to remember that is the last bit of income until payday then.
There are 3 birthdays to account for this month and I’ve covered all of them already. They are all my family at home, so I wrapped and left them with my parents when I went down last which saves me hugely on postage.
I’m doing ok with regards to Christmas - still have lots to buy, but am scaling down on the adult’s gifts this year and have a fair idea of what to buy most of those I buy for.
I need to buy some more bits for DS, but waiting until nearer the time to see if he actually asks for anything specific. There is £180 left in my gift pot and I will add another £100 with this month’s wages too, so that should be plenty. We’ve agreed to just buy for the kids in OH’s family too for another year running which suits us all I think.
I must have had nearly 8 hours sleep last night - unheard of for me - but woke up feeling exhausted and like I could sleep all day today, so I’m off to try for another 8 hours tonight... night all xMortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

A lady has just collected an item I sold on FB for £10 and a few other bits sold at the weekend making another £10, so that will probably go towards a mortgage OP.
I've listed a few other items on FB, hopefully they will sell and make a few extra £'s.
There is yet another problem with the house, this time, the heating system. Hopefully I will be hearing from the plumbers very soon. I am absolutely sick of the shoddy workmanship in this place.
OH and I picked up lots of YS bargains at the weekend which I have managed to fit in the freezer. 2 chickens, a pork joint, chicken pieces and some other bits which will help save the pennies later on in the month.
It's two weeks to payday and I'm doing ok, just need to keep the tight belt on the finances, as normal. I also realy need to do a bit more Christmas shopping, but I can't find the will at the moment.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

So I guess I'll be saving that £20 instead of paying it off the mortgage. An announcement of a 'big meeting' at working next month has us all thinking the worst. I've already cried, looked for other jobs and feel sick.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16
