So I've paid the £20 off the mortgage. Either way, I need to get this mortgage down so that if I do have a drop in income, I can still manage it and get a new mortgage deal when needed.

    Mortgage OP's 2019: £1881.76/£1800 :j

Oh dear I hate it when they say there will be a big announcement, why don't they just wait and tell you. Hope its not as bad as you're fearing.
  • Fingers crossed it's not bad news from work.
Sorry to hear you've had yet more issues with the house, it's really not good enough is it.

Thank you both. I have asked the question and we have been told it's not bad news, but just a 'scheduled meeting' - we'll see.

I'm feeling like I want to scream atop a mountain at the moment. I'm frustrated with life. Have had enough of the carp that keeps coming my way and just want things to get better. I guess it's too much to ask though, going on past performance!

Two further issues have arisen with the house today. Another leak, so there is currently rainwater coming in my house, and a separate issue caused by absolute inadequate workmanship. I've reported both, so await the stress and delay of getting these fixed now on top of the heating which will hopefully be fixed on Friday, although as it's the same idiots fixing it that installed it, I have little faith.

DS is with his Dad until a bit later and the ex has been unable to answer a simple question tonight which has annoyed me. It really shouldn't be difficult to give a yes or no over something trivial which affects DS, but that I will need to sort tomorrow if he hasn't. Everything is hard work with the ex.

I should have had a hospital appointment late this afternoon but I managed to read the instructions wrong and so couldn't have the test. My own fault, although I have to say it was quite confusing, but I still should have paid more attention to it. I phoned them when I realised and apologised profusely, they will be sending me another appointment.

Work started terribly today, with a confrontation with a not-so-nice colleague who was immediately doing something they shouldn't be when I got to work today. I had to sort it out which I could have done without tbh.

I've spent the past half hour looking for a Christmas gift I bought my Mum and can't find. Then I convinced myself I hadn't wished my Mum a happy birthday on her birthday and had forgotten to phone her - it then clicked - I wrapped the item up for her for her birthday and took it to them when I was last there, ready for her birthday which I haven't actually missed, but is in a few weeks. I think I'm losing it. :o

I've got the washing in the dryer as it's monsoon-like outside, have put the bins out and have packaged up the bay sale and other bits that need posting.
AsI didn't have DS after work/school today, I had a nice soak in the bath when I got home - something I rarely get time for! Now, I just don't know what to do with myself though. I'm not used to being aline in this house or having free time here and I just don't know what the heck to do! I could clean the bathrooms I suppose, but I really CBA. I think that's my trouble, I c.b.a to do anything lately. :(

I have been thinking about my health a lot today and vowed that I need to start looking after myself more, starting with my diet. Now I'm sat here having chocolate instead of 'tea'... not the best start really is it.

Dryer's stopped - off to fold the washing. It's something productive to do anyway!

I've just cashed in 2,000 nectar points for a £10 eBay voucher which will probably go towards a Christmas present. :)

I can't believe the problems you're having with that house! Is there any way to sue them  :mad:You can't even contact your MP because non of us has one at the moment!

You sound totally fed up, which is understandable, but it won't help to let yourself get totally down.
Do you have any hobbies you can pursue when you're in alone? If not is there anything that you would enjoy doing?

It doesn't sound as though the Ex is going to change anytime soon. Is there anyone else who can talk to him that maybe he'll listen to?
Not much use I know but sending you ((((hugs)))) and hoping that the Universe starts sending good things your way very quickly. XX
    I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy

Thank you Chrystal. I guess I could look at taking them to court, but we’re talking one of the biggest housing developers in this country vs me and as they (claim to) fix the issues that arise, I imagine it would prove tricky to get much of a result. I really don’t think I could handle the stress of court either tbh. The plan is, to stay here until I can get back near enough what I paid for the house and then we’ll move on again. Hopefully we’ll find our happy place that is meant for us then.

I'm sat in waiting for the pumbers today, hopefully they'll get it sorted quickly as I'm not in the mood for another day of workmen in the house. I've just sent photos to the developer of the other issues they ned to rectify too.

I had to phone up Mr T's bank and complain last night as I found out that a credit card with a credit limit of £8300 that I requested to close over a year ago was still showing on my online banking and hadn't been closed down at all. I had this problem previously with the same card and this is now the third time I have had to call about it. The lady I spoke to has now assured me it's closed down, for which I should receive confirmation within 5 days, and has sent £25 to my bank account as I had been previously mis-advised. The £25 will go as another little OP towards the mortgage when it hits the bank account.

OH treated me to food out in our local pub last night. We then walked to Asda and picked up lots of YS bargains reduced to 10p. I bought two loaves of bread (which I've split and frozen this morning) and some 'luxury' yoghurts for 10p, although OH paid and wouldn't take my 30p! ;)

Am so glad it's Friday today. It seems to have been a long week and I'm really tired. I thought I was coming down with a bad chest last night, but thankfully it seems to have cleared a bit this morning. I really can't afford to be ill at the moment too.
