Thank you all for the encouragement, hugs and thoughts, it is appreciated more than you could know. Xx

Truth be told, I’m feeling a bit bruised by life at the moment. There is something very stressful going on which I cannot discuss on here, perhaps when it’s sorted, but I am trying not to think about it too much as it leaves me extremely stressed, angry and upset to the point where it consumes me. For now, I am trying to have faith that those responsible for sorting this out will do so as quickly as possible.

    Onto other things now...

I had an ultrasound today which was, thankfully, normal. Hopefully that is the last of the medical tests for a while.
DS has his appointment in two weeks. I am dreading it.

I’ve gone overboard with the Christmas shopping in a bid to get it sorted and the savings will take a hit shortly when I (once again) pay the credit card bill off. I have he money though so am trying not to berate myself too much. If anything it’s shown me I need to save more for next year. This month’s tax credits and child benefit will help towards it too so the saving take less of a hit.

DS and I have spent more time at home with my parents. It was lovely to be there but quite upsetting and difficult to see loved ones suffering so much. Life is not fair.
I have REALLY struggled to ‘fit back in’ to life since returning. I don’t feel like I belong here anymore. I sat at my desk at work the other day, surrounded by colleagues that are often not nice to work with, seem to have little respect for life or each other and are quite selfish at times. I looked out of the window at the view and thought ‘why the hell am I still here?’. If I could have walked out at that very moment, picked up DS and not stopped until I got home to my family.

On the flip side of that, we went to a local Christmas event here last night and ran into a few friends and chatted with people, it almost felt like I belonged a little more. Talk about mixed emotions. :(

DS is now not with me for two days and I struggle more and more without him. I thought it would get easier, but it gets harder.

I have sold a few things on fb lately, nothing of great value and none currently collected, so we’ll see if they do actually get picked up.
I have sold an item of DS’s he didn’t want for £20, I have told him he can spend or save it, or do a bit of both.

DS’s father continues to be a major source of stress (he is also the cause of the ‘large issue’), and dealing with him and trying to remain civil for DS’s sake whilst this is going on in the background is draining me of energy.

Anyway, have to go, OH has just turned up. Will continue this when I can. Xx

The Child benefit hit the account on Monday and tax credits today, so I've shuffled a bit more money round. £43.53 has been sent to the mortgage, which rounds it down to £101,930. This overpayment tips my total OPs over the £2k mark now since March, so I'm really pleased with that.

The credit card has been paid off, which was just under £70.

I've also allocated £60 to finishing the Christmas shopping. Hopefully it won't cost that much, but any leftovers will go towards DS's birthday which is early in the New year.

DS and I put our tree up last night and a few decorations. I didn't really feel like it, but he was really keen so didn't want to disappoint him.
This house is not a Christmas house. :( Our last house was a beautiful Christmas house, with the perfect place for the tree and lots of lovely old features to highlight. We can't even fit the tree in our lounge in this house, it's had to go in the playroom. It looks fine though and DS is happy which is the main thing. I'll get OH to help me put some outside lights up at the weekend.

I have some mince & veg in the slow cooker to make into some batch cooked lasagnes and bolognaise sauce to freeze. It's the second day in a row I've used the slow cooker, I cooked a chicken in it for us yesterday and DS an I had a roast dinner mid tree-decorating, complete with Christmas crackers I found in with the decorations!

The stressful situation is stil ongoing and things came to a bit of a head yesterday. Hopefully things are going the right way to be sorted now, but time will tell. The 'difficult person' could decide not to cooperate and make things 100 times more stressful for everyone. I hope he doesn't, but I wouln't put it past him.

For the record, the latest financial figures:

    Mortgage @ March 2019: £107K, now: £101,930
    Mortgage OP's 2019: £2005.29/£1800 :j
    EF: £1900 • H2S: £1000
    Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16
    Mortgage OP’s: £20,691.73
    Remaining 10% OP allowance 2025: £1327.55
  • Wow, £2k on overpayments is amazing!

Glad that DS is pleased with the Tree etc... at the end of the day the children is what Christmas is all about. I'm really hoping that in the not too distant future you'll be able to settle somewhere that you're happy with.
Also hoping that whatever the problem is it's sorted to your satisfaction very quickly... Keep your chin up and keep soldiering on. ((((hugs)))) XX

A couple of small eBay sales made £8.53 after postage so I’ve rounded it up to £10 and sent it to the mortgage as another overpayment.
