It all adds up - look at how much you've put into that fund, just by chipping away at it a little bit at a time.
Brilliant!
And enjoy having ds home. xNot giving up

Thank you both, yes, it does all add up even though it feels like a drop in the ocean presently!
Another sale = £10.62 profit after fees and postage, so have transferred that over to the pot too. £472.84 is sat in it now. When I get the final bill from the builders i’ll Have to use the credit card to pay them the £4320, but then I can pay off as much as I have saved straight away. Wouldn’t it be fab if I could get it to £1000 by then, although I have no idea how i’d Achieve that other than winning the lottery! XMortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,956.86

One more sale today generating £6.76 profit which has been swept to the house repairs pot, bringing it up to £469.60.
I have also made a craft sale too but need to pay some Etsy fees and postage abroad so there won’t be much profit, if any, on that one.
DS and I have been out to a local farm/theme park today, about an hour from us. I used Tesco vouchers towards entry so only had to pay £1. I also packed us up lunch and plenty of drinks, so other than supplementing DS’s pocket money he’d saved up for something in the gift shop, we didn’t spend anything. This came from my purse too so really happy there were no spends from the bank.
There is a sausage roast dinner cooking in the oven for DS, OH and I will have some ys fish I got out of the freezer with some veg from the fridge.
DS is currently making homes for his little toy figures out of old shoes boxes, pipe cleaners, cardboard and tissue paper - good old fashion fun! I’m chief cutter and gluer and enjoying a sit down and my second cup of tea since getting home.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,956.86

I’ve been thinking about how to pay this debt off quicker... My emergency savings are now up to £1000 and I usually save £150 a month towards that pot. I am wondering whether I should reduce that to £50 a month for now and send another £100 to the debt instead. That means I should be able to pay off a minimum of £250 a month. I know I won’t be saving as much, but the debt concerns me more tbh.
Any thoughts?
I’d like to get the emergency savings up to £5k, even £10k eventually but that’s a long term plan...Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,956.86

At least you have that £1000 there should you need it for an emergency and it will help to clear the house repair bill in quicker time.

I think that £1000 in an emergency fund is enough to cover most things, and you will feel way better if you can get that debt out of the way as quickly as possible. Not giving up

I had to do a big shop this morning, with lots of dairy free alternatives for DS (which are never cheap) and lots of fruit, veg, some frozen fish and lean meat . Total spend of just over £62, but I shouldn't need to go shopping for two weeks or so now.
I shall be splitting up the meatballs, bacon and mince and freezing it later today. Also, I bought a loaf of bread which will be split into 4 slices and frozen to prevent waste and save money.
My mortgage payment came out today and it left the mortgage at £75,006.60. Obviously I HAD to send a little overpayment to get it to under £75k,so I've sent £6.61 from my spending pot reducing the mortgage to £74,999.
I've overpaid it by £1585.78 this year so far. I know I've had to stop the main bulk of overpayments for now, but I WILL get it up to £1800 by the end of the year. This is a nice £150 extra OP a month which I will be really pleased with, all things considered.
The scaffolding is going up on my house today. Not entirely sure either of the scaffolders was old enough to drive the truck, but then again perhaps that says something about my age now...!
YNAB has been updated this morning. There were lots of little bits and pieces with all the ebay/paypal payments being transferred in then out again to the house repairs pot, but I'm all caught up now.
I'm working this morning, finishing early as DS has an inset day today and will be with me this afternoon. I'm planning on making the most of our last summer holiday time together, I'm gutted he's back to school tomorrow, it seems to have flown.

Another eBay sale today of £5.89 profit (after fees and postage) which has been transferred to the pot already. I’ve also had a couple of business sales which should tip the pot total over the £500 mark once postage and fees have been calculated.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,956.86
