Had to smile at the questioning of the scaffolders age... I find myself doing likewise.

The mortgage is now showing online at £74,999.99 too.
Guess who left the trying on of school trousers until this morning - the first day back at school too.Seven pairs of trousers my parents bought don't fit and can't be returned, so will have to go on ebay. A fair few are too big so will get put away, but we have five pairs that are ok for now. Yes, they bought A LOT of trousers!

Last night I cooked some courgette, peppers, carrots and tomatoes down and blitzed it all to make a tomato sauce base to use for DS's meals. He is a fruit and veg phobe,
so the only way to get the good stuff in is to disguise it. He will happily eat it then, even knowing it's in there... I despair.
It made four portions, so have frozen three and have one to use tonight with his meatballs which were also portioned and frozen yetserday. (One pack of 'fresh' meatballs easily gives me four or five portions for DS).
OH and I will be having a prawn balti tonight. We bought a few huge heavily-reduced king prawn rings just after Christmas and froze them. The dates were still fine until 2019 so I guess they were just Christmas stock they wanted rid of. We got one out of the freezer on Sunday and had a lovely 'prawn nicoise' salad.
Last night was jackets with sweet chilli prawns and tonight we're having a balti which will use them all up. Happy days.

A bit of a cheeky one, but I recently joined weight watchers online using a code for a free month on top of the other offers. If anyone is thinking of joining and would like an extra free month worth £12.95, I have a referral link. We would both get a free month of plan.

A successful meal of sneaked-in-veg and meatballs consumed by DS.
I’ve made both our lunchboxes for tomorrow and I’ll cook the balti for OH and I in an hour or so.
DS has had a good first day back at school. He’s been happily playing with his Lego for an hour or so tonight and has requested to look through old photos of when he was a baby tonight so we will be doing that together shortly. :smileyhea:smileyhea
I’ve chased the builders again today... they’ve promised Monday as a start date... the one week I said wasn’t convenient two months ago. Why am I not surprised?!
I’ve just read both meters and submitted those. It feels like a long time ago since I did it last. The result says I’m now £65 in credit which will be left on account towards higher costs in the winter.
I’ve cashed in more survey points for a £2 Amazon voucher today so there’s £7 saved there so far. I’ll use it towards lowering the price of the next Lego set DS wants for Christmas.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,956.86

£8.00 transferred from the gift pot for some flowers I bought for a neighbour’s birthday at the weekend. I don’t really need it in my personal spends pot presently as I’m not spending much, so have transferred it to the house repairs pot and added a little extra to make it up to the £500.
Whilst typing this I’ve also sold two more listings on eBay for a combined total of £19! :j I’m guessing this will be around £15 profit once everything’s taken out, so that will be added to the pot too soon.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,956.86

The eBay sale profit worked out at £13odd so I’ve rounded it up to £14 and transferred it to the pot.
There’s £514 in there now, £3806 to go... I should be able to get it down to the £3700’s next week.
Tonight I saw the one thing DS has asked for for Christmas on amazon at £10 off and cheaper than anywhere else, so i’ve bought it using the £7 gift card and transferred the remaining £32.99 to my main account from my Christmas gifts pot to pay for it.
