250 Quidco plus 150 sainsburys voucher. Cost for the year minus 70 quid.I think....0 -
Can anyone actually get this MSE Sky package to work?
All i ever receive is an error, and message to call 03442 411 818 which doesnt exist?0 -
I recommended the Tesco monthly rolling broadband (no long contract) to my son for his temporary digs, a room in a small HMO. This is the £17.40/month deal including line rental, that I found out about on MSE.
He needs a new line to go with it for which Tesco will charge £60-ish setup.
He's done the online application and been given an installation visit date.
Now I am curious if Tesco will follow through (I've heard elsewhere that a lot of broadband co's hate installing new lines and come up with all sorts of excuses on the day).0 -

As above, my broadband was the Orange broadband for life, but the line rental was still paid to BT.
Now I have switched or going through the process of switching over to Sky, BT rang yesterday to say, sorry your going, but how about staying and we will give you free broadband up to 10GB per month for the next 12 months and you can reduce your line rental by paying a year up front ? I shall switch, if only for the possible £100 quidco and £100 M&S voucher, might switch back in a year0 -
Does anybody know if the sky off with £192 M&S vouchers still applies if you upgrade to Fibre?
Thanks0 -
Hi – just looking at taking advantage of this sky deal and moving away from TalkTalk…
1) I notice that the MSE special linked page contains “By continuing you are agreeing to hear from Sky by e-mail, post or phone and we may use your information to contact you about products and services that we think you'd like.” Can you opt out of this spam on further pages … or is this the price we have to pay for the extra £92 voucher… in which case is it better to forgo the £92 and go via a cashback site?
2) I see the router is compulsory… I accept I will have to pay the p&p for a sky one but can I then still go on to use my own router regardless (I’ve seen on the web that some customers (ex O2/Be) seem to be able to use their own?
3) Can I verify, sky do not / can not block access to cheaper calls via 08081-703703 (the 18185 access)
Thanks for your help to any of the above
i am thinking about the same move but Sky says i need to pay an installation fee which doesn't make sense to me.
Surely talktalk is based on a normal BT line so what would the problem be?
to be fair EE and plusnet have said the same thing.
Perhaps Talktalk have put some block on the line to dissuade me from leaving - wouldn't put it past them0 -
I am an existing BT customer and my current deal ends on 22/10 although I seem to have paid my line rental until 26/10. I want to switch to BT infinity, however I am being quoted £23/mth by BT despite the new customer deal being £5/mth for 6 months and then £15/mth for the next 12 months. New customers also get a £125 Sainsburys voucher.
If I cancel my current BT deal (either now or from 26/10) how long will I have to wait before BT regard me as a new customer?0 -

When I phoned for my MAC code and told them I was switching to Sky, they offered me Infinity for £8/month and free installation but with line rental I'd still be paying £24/month, whereas with Sky I'm paying nothing for the year because of the £192 vouchers. If they'd offered me free line rental for the year, I would have probably stuck with them and payed the £8/month for Infinity.0 -
Just got our sky box & documentation for the MSE deal - it looks like the free broadband is actually £7.50 off the Sky TV customer discounted price of £7.50; as the "usual" price is £10/month, looks like we'll have to pay £2.50 a month.
There's also the £20 "reconnection" fee which seems to apply if moving from talktalk but not from BT, which seems a bit odd.
So not quite as good as deal as advertised by MSE - but still hard to beat!0
