SamKnows is a website with all the information you ever wanted to know on your local BT exchange - including - If any LLU operators have a presence in your telephone exchange - as this would mean they are more likely to be able to offer you the lower broadband prices:
Follow the link and check which cable / wireless / LLU operators are in your area:
http://www.samknows.com/broadband/search.php
Broadband providers /operators that do not have an LLU presence in your BT exchange will charge more for your Broadband; as they will supply your connection via BT Wholesale's IPStream products - which cost them more.0 -

I am looking for a broadband provider which also provides web space to host a moderate web site, and also BOTH Webmail and client-based e-mail..
Do you really need these facilities attached to the broadband provider? You can buy them separately. For example a cheap UK hosting provider is Orchard Hosting who offer 500MB and 1 email address for £10/year, or 1GB and 50 for £25/year. You need a domain on top, which is a few pounds a year for a .uk.
The feature list provided by Orchard is quite long, but all your needs are covered. Webmail is run on both the standard Squirrelmail and Horde interfaces.
Quite possibly you can get cheaper by hosting in the US, though I haven't looked into that.
Finding a broadband provider who can do what you want is going to restrict your choice enough that it's probably be cheaper to go with basic broadband from someone else and then pay £1-2/month for hosting.0 -
My broadband options are very limited because no LLU operators have a presence in my local exchange.
I have checked on SamKnows and it states that 'BT Wholesale WBC has set an enablement date of 31/3/2010' for my local exchange.
Can someone please tell me how this will affect my broadband options after that date.0 -
For anyone who doesn't already have a landline connected, PlusNet are offering the same free connection that BT are but with only a rolling monthly contract. They also haven't said anything about needing to make ten calls a month! Their value broadband is one of the cheapest around so a good way to get an all-in-one package? I know Virgin is slightly cheaper, but there is no fibreoptic here and to be honest I found Virgin unhelpful both times I rang to discuss signing up.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

The original article mentions that a possible way to get discounted o2 broadband is to get an o2 PAYG SIM and top up with £10 every 3 months.
Effectively adding £40 cost to access the discount package
This PAYG SIM option doesn't appear to be available on the o2 website- their cheapest PAYG SIM requires you to top up with £10min every month, effectively costing you £120 a year.
Just worth noting0 -
That's not so. The article is correct. There is a £10pm sim only contract which is what you are probably getting confused by.0

Do you have a link to the correct SIM offer? Cant' seem to find it online.
Thanks0 -
Hi, all just wondering is O2 my best bet now if Im wanting broadband? and Primus saver for the landline? currently on VM and paying £25 a month for basic phone and 10Mb broadband. tbh, I was happy with 2Mb lol. Of course, you do get cashback with O2 which makes it very attractive, but of course this is only available to new customers and after 12 months, it means to find another person or continue using them
And after 12 months, would plusnet be my best bet then?0 -
