Most of the broadband deals seem to be 18 months - if I sign up to a new one before the start of April will I be subject to two inflation busting price increases? Doe sit make more sense to wait until after the start of April?I think....0

Just wanted to highlight a great TalkTalk broadband offer that I don't think is very well-known.
I pre-pay for a year in advance, and get a much cheaper rate. £246 for 12 months (so £20.50/m equivalent), for their Fiber 35 plan.
I just renewed today for another year, and was expecting it to increase, but it's the same £246 it's been for the last TWO YEARS! I've always found the speed and connection fine and had no issues. I believe this is available to all customers, new or existing, but not 100% sure on that.
To get this I called 03451720044, and when I mentioned pre-paying for a year upfront for a discount, they had to transfer me to another person. That person confirmed the offer price and then sent me an email, which I had to confirm I'd received, and then they completed the payment over the phone. I hope this helps someone!1 -

Anyone had any joy of haggling with BT when out of contract? Don't want to leave as cannot afford any downtime due to family members working from home and never had a problem with them either. Cannot get Virgin or 5G in my area, so limited to Openreach type companies to threaten a move.
cheers

Given that Plusnet are the same company and use the same hub, I don't see you would risk any more downtime with them than BT and they are cheaper....so just switch to them.0

I know broadband prices are going up / have gone up recently, but still...
Am currently with NOW Broadband / getting 80 Meg fibre AND unlimited anytime landline and mobile calls since the last 15 or so months for £20 per month (yes...)
Recently notified it's going up to £23.50 from next month as they can't sustain the price freeze they've kept since the last couple of years (fair enough)
But looking at other providers with either ADSL or Fibre broadband...they all seem to be AROUND the mid to late £20s per month for broadband only...
...but anytime calls is an additional £8 or more!
Has broadband plus anytime calls shifted universally to around £35 per month from virtually all providers??
(I'm obviously not factoring in cashback deals here from Quidco or Top cashback)
Thanks - and if anyone knows of good deals with broadband plus anytime calls - please let us know0 -

I did manage to negotiate TalkTalk down to £20 for the same recently after they jacked it up to £35, but it took some doing and I was on the point of switching.0

If funds were unlimited I'd move to Zen - it's the only decent one out there.1 -
My TT contract is up next month after 18 months, they want me to go from £23.95 p/m to £29.95 p/m, called them up and best they will do is £27.00 p/m, this is for Fibre 65 which gives me speeds of around 51mbps, any deals around?0
