It is showing at £180 for me but on the same computer but a different family members account it shows at £60!
The one being offered £180 has earned a lot more cashback and been a member of Quidco for a lot longer than the one offering £60. Both are Premium accounts. Don't know if those details make any difference.
I have to say I am quite annoyed about this difference and now wonder where else this may be happening or have happened!

I have just done the live chat with Quidco and the lady said:
Quidco:Usually the rates that retailers provide are the same for all members, so we have a standard rate across the site. However, on some occasions retailers will provide different rates for different members, which is what BT has at the moment. Unfortunately the rates are decided by the retailer, which means that we are not able to control this and I am sorry fro any disappointment caused
Me:Ok - thank you for that explanation. Can you expand on how they decide who gets what rate?
Quidco:I'm afraid I don't know exactly, as the rates are set up by a different team, but it usually goes on purchases made, etc. It is rare however, as the vast majority of rates are the same across the board
.....
I am sorry for any disappointment caused, we don't want to upset our members necessarily, which is why the differences aren't highlighted, as we are unable to change them. However, I will pass your feedback on to our admin team0 -
Give it a go, Joe - it's very straightforward and just becomes a routine. Rarely any hassle, and the only possible hassle is chasing cashback that hasn't been paid for some reason.
Phone/Broadband tends to give large cashbacks (they vary from week to week) and the best deals always go to customers switching. Ridiculous, but unfortunately true.
One little tip if you do decide to give it a go - cookies. Cashback depends on there being no existing cookies competing with the Quidco/Topcashback ones. Almost all of the failed cashback (and hassle) comes from this. Best solution is to use a separate browser for cashback set to clear all cookies on exit. That way you know there won't be any stray cookies when you go through Quidco/TCB.
I hope I don't have to switch, perhaps TT will bypass me with the rises, and let me carry on as I am.:rotfl:
Nowt wrong with dreaming.
Just out of curiosity, do I go to the cashback sites,(login) when looking for a deal, whatever I am after.?
Then see if they have offers on, that particular item.or service.?0 -
Thanks Doc, will do that.

That's it. Just check whether Quidco and TCB offer cashback for that particular retailer/seller. You don't even need to log in just to check, although it's now clear that logging in may show a higher rate for some companies (such as BT).
It becomes routine after a while - probably not worth bothering for small items, though I suppose they can mount up.0 -
Not one of the deals advertised, but I'm interested in joining The Co-Operative Phone & Broadband.
I'm currently with Sky (regular BT line). But when I called the Co-op, the adviser told me they would need to re-number me onto the BT network and I can't keep my number. This meant 10-14 working days to get started, in den 10-14 days without broadband while they ported me back onto the BT network.
Now I do not mind losing my number and waiting, but the ~2 weeks without broadband is a surprise. I'm surprised Sky was in the same boat as Virgin (i.e. no BT line). Sky never mentioned that when I joined them ~13 months ago (not that they were obliged to..). But I just called EE and their adviser told me switching will be straightforward, i.e. ~18 days wait and no Engineer required.
So was the advice from the Co-op mistakenly giving me the wrong information?
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated!
(The £120 Amazon voucher offer expires at midnight tonight)0 -
I'm currently with Sky (regular BT line).
Was this a brand new line installed by Sky or were you with the likes of BT and moved to Sky?
Sky is an LLU provider and has its own Voice and BB network within the exchange. From the exchange it's still over BT Openreach lines.
I've moved from BT to Sky and then to PlusNet and kept my number.I'm surprised Sky was in the same boat as Virgin (i.e. no BT line). Sky never mentioned that when I joined them ~13 months ago (not that they were obliged to..).
They're not in the same boat as Virgin which would need a new line. Generally you can switch from LLU providers back to BT Wholesale suppliers and keep your number.
Did the Co-op ask for your number or just who you were with?0 -

Just seen the Sky price hike, after 5 months with them via MSE's half price voucher and £100 M&S voucher, and have now received the voucher, so looking to jump ship price hike.
Considering the the EE deal, but having come from EE to Sky, not sure I'll get the voucher ( I originally jumped to EE May last year for the £120 amazon voucher then, so only paid £30 for the year)0 -

Try phoning Sky, they usually come up with a good deal to entice you to stay.0
