Wow! Well done, last mile. You enjoy that wine with your friend, won't you?0

Oh well done sweetheart.
That was hard, but you did it. He will doubtless come a begging and a pleading, he will weep and wail but don't fall for it, they are crocodile tears.
Remember all his broken promises, all the hurt he has caused you. Stand tall and straight and remained firm and resolved.
Enjoy your time with your friend, drink some wine, and indulge in girl talk. Have a few laughs. You've earned it.
You don't need to think about your future tonight. Just enjoy the moment. Of course it feels weird and strange but you are free. That's all that matters.0 -

Great news! God I'm so pleased for you
The empty and vacant feeling will pass. You got used to something as 'normal' and that is all behind you now. It'll take your system a wee while to catch up to your new normal, but it will catch up, and you'll be fine
And then you'll be better than you have been for years xxI removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.0 -

Can't express how happy I am for you. Here's a quote from the Lord of the rings of all things
Even darkness must pass
A new day will come
And when the sun shines
It will shine out the clearer0 -
So it’s the morning after.
I still feel that out in my stomach.
He has text and called repeatedly since yesterday.
I haven’t read or answered because I told him I needed space.
I honestly don’t know how I feel, I have this pit and that is it.
When I’m not thinking about it I get on like I did before but then he’ll call or text and though I don’t answer the put is back.0 -
Maybe try turning your phone off, even just for half an hour to start with, then work up to an hour and so on? You did it! I know it is too early to feel joy yet but surely you can allow yourself a little relief, no? I'll be honest, I did not think you would do it but you did. Yay, you, last mile! :T
Come on. The sun is shining where you are, I hope; it is here. There is nothing like a bit of fresh air and a walk to perk your spirits up (so I'm told) Why not take the pooch for a saunter? Trip to the pub, park, somewhere nice?
This is your first day of freedom from abuse. You are bound to feel shell shocked for a while but the noise has stopped. You just have not stopped listening out for it.
Sending virtual hugs your way.

Well done, last mile. Good advice to turn the phone off. Just be you for a little while. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

Well done Last Mile... it took a huge amount of courage to do what you've just done. Many, many hugs xxxxToo chicken to stay in the rat-race...0
