  • Think this weather is supposed to last till the weekend. Enjoy it.
According to my app it will. Mixed feelings about it to be honest.
Today has been my 12th NSD of the month! Yay me. Was craving a kebab at one point but remembered I would just end up throwing half of it in the bin as it would be a waste. Tomorrow is payment day 2 and trying to apply Frugaldoms challenge to my life. Also tomorrow will be a spend as going to meet a friend for coffee. I havent seen her in a month as she has been to Canada.

A - Will definitely be asking if it is necessary before purchasing. Not needed to do today. Made a list of what I need to do/buy on Friday. Am off on Friday.
J - 17/20 NSD. Was an NSD today.
U - Will be looking into cupboards etc and make sure I will not buy unnecessary and use what already in. Used what I had in.
N - No need today. Some people brought in food as a late EID celebration.
E -Have to make a special effort to more healthy eating. Could do better.
    O - Will do.
D -Savings sorted out for the month.
    E - Walked to/from bus stop/work.
S - Have set my budgets.
S - All done for the month now.

Today I am grateful for a good lesson obs, for lovely pupils, for the sunshine, for a functioning radio in the car, for dd enjoying tennis club, for a good chat with a neighbour, for getting some big things finished at work, for a good book to read.

Productive evening. Removed a tree, washed all bedding, made a normal lasagne and one low carb (strips of zucchini instead of pasta) and made a keto style muesli as I find most normal shop bought ones have too much sugar, dried fruit or heaps of oats.

Cup of tea and then bed.

    See you tomorrow

    Hi all :j

A Ask yourself 'Is this necessary?' Before purchasing anything. No spends today. When you make a 'to do' list (is it realistic or even possible); Discussed this with friend this afternoon. Could call it a might do list, Probably need to make a big list, even if just to cross off stuff that is getting done, as motivation LOL. Look forward to the discipline of actually doing this...woooo Great list mothernerd, will certainly study this if I ever get a moment, not happened yet as seemingly housework from morn till night..

J June challenge runs from 1st June to 30th. Aiming for tough target. Now 15/20, won't make 20 but will do my best

U Use the food you have in the cupboards, fridge and freezer to base your meals on. Meal plan (for the month or for a few days at a time, whichever suits). Cook from scratch (short cuts permitted if you are feeling stressed) Lunch was stuff from fridge, tea was hm burger & chunky chips, prepped from stores..

N No takeaways, coffee, chip or pie shop purchases. Nope.

E Eating well is a form of self respect. Did better than usual, still off the snacks..

O Offer help and encouragement to other turtles and people you meet. Be kind to everyone, especially yourself. Waves pompoms wildly encouragingly!! Encouraged by yesterdays effort, wore dress again today, same result..

D Debt or savings payments should be made first - live on what is left No debt other than cc I use for all purchases to get rewards - which is paid off in full every month. Will need to get the cc bill down during the month with payments made daily (PAD thread) to avoid large bill at end of month. Concerned about this one tbh..Made a PAD to help a little, total is still

E Exercise according to your programme or your ability. Minimum of 3 times a week. Try to get outside every day. Outside with dogs for a few mins as so hot, then later when it cooled - then out watering again tonight.

S Set all your budgets before the start of the month. Food, travel, social, diy, other. Have filled in a lot of the spreadsheet but it is still a wip, will add rest. More to add tomorrow, then need to take stock as cannot possibly need any more food. Nope.

.S Someone, somewhere is worse off than you. Donate to the local food bank or other charity of your choice. Clear some of your clutter and donate the goods to charity. Will be amassing stuff to take to CS as I clear the clutter; also intend to sell better items to pay for hols booked for August. Ironed some stuff ready for photos & charged up tablet for photos. Soon, I promise...

E Every day check in is recommended, especially when things go wrong. 27/30 here I am..

You are the most important person in your life. You are your own longest term investment. You matter. Read this and the daily quotes, take on anything you find relevant and helpful, ditch the rest. Reading, learning & inwardly digesting. Help and support on here is the best..progress slow but steady..keep on keeping on. Getting on with the clearing, hopefully it is looking bad before it looks better! Clearing required in bathroom as been used as dumping ground for sorting items, have hairdresser coming tomorrow to have hair coloured, first time since last Nov...hopefully it will look better after her visit.

    Today is silly day!!

I am doing lots of the silly little jobs that have been on the list for months.
The ones that you build up in your head, but actually end up taking 15 minutes once you get all the stuff you need to do it sorted. I have the stuff, I bought it weeks and months ago. It does no good in the packet/tin/roll.

So reducing the list, and making a difference before the long school holidays start..

Although once I do all the silly jobs, soon the only jobs left will be major jobs. That involve real money. Scary money jobs.

So I should not have to spend any money today. NSD16 Enough stuff in for lunchboxes tomorrow, beer in fridge for tonight (ys stuff from 3 or 4 weeks ago),

Have a great day, and hope those not interested can avoid the worst of the football. I feel the same way about tennis.

Last day of school here. 32c and the paddling pool. ball park, wendy house and bouncy castle are all out the back. Going to be a long, hot, noisy summer!
All the windows and doors are opened and the fan is on. I've changed the bedding in the hope that clean sheets might make it easier to sleep.
I'm hiding inside but Himself went for a walk and brought me back two lovely lavender plants.
Fish and vegetables for dinner. Nice and light.
Hope you all manage to sleep. Is it as hot everywhere else?
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

    Hi all,

Interesting couple of days, basically my hub has been told he is being relocated down south in a couple of years time. He doesn't want to go, for a lot of reasons, my job and the kids stability being one of them, so basically I have 2 years to get the rest of our deposit together for a house and pay my car off. the good news is- it isn't that far away from when we planned to do all this anyway, it will just spur us on. so...the holiday abroad next year has been binned in favour of overpaying the car, & I am currently looking for nice places to visit in the UK and creating some sort of master plan. My head is spinning a little bit with figures.

Absolutely mad busy with the two kids until hub gets back tomorrow, but it is done now and we have a lovely day planned for Saturday.

Thank God for pay day tomorrow!!
