Evening all! another NSD here and a load of baking done for the market - it is beginning to wear me out a bit - I hardly have any time for myself or anyone else. It's payday tomorrow and so I will 'sweep' all the spare money off into my savings - the deal at the moment is that we have to live off our income, month by month so anything that is not spent is taken off into savings to make an emergency stash. I get the proceeds from he market on the 6th July so all of that (except a float for supplies next month will be put into savings too.
After this weekend I think Iwill have to review how much i am doing and how it is making feel (since work is also quite busy)...
    Trying to keep in budget.

    Hi all :j

A Ask yourself 'Is this necessary?' Before purchasing anything. Hair done today so spends. When you make a 'to do' list (is it realistic or even possible); Discussed this with friend this afternoon. Could call it a might do list, Probably need to make a big list, even if just to cross off stuff that is getting done, as motivation LOL. Look forward to the discipline of actually doing this...woooo Great list mothernerd, will certainly study this if I ever get a moment, Feeling a bit grim today, hopefully better tomorrow..

J June challenge runs from 1st June to 30th. Aiming for tough target. Still 15/20, won't make 20 but will do my best

U Use the food you have in the cupboards, fridge and freezer to base your meals on. Meal plan (for the month or for a few days at a time, whichever suits). Cook from scratch (short cuts permitted if you are feeling stressed) Lunch was stuff from fridge, tea was leftover lasagne from the other day

N No takeaways, coffee, chip or pie shop purchases. Nope.

E Eating well is a form of self respect. Not good today..

O Offer help and encouragement to other turtles and people you meet. Be kind to everyone, especially yourself. Waves pompoms wildly encouragingly!! Hair colour done now, so brighten me up - expect I feel rough so not atm..

D Debt or savings payments should be made first - live on what is left No debt other than cc I use for all purchases to get rewards - which is paid off in full every month. Will need to get the cc bill down during the month with payments made daily (PAD thread) to avoid large bill at end of month. Concerned about this one tbh...only a couple of days till the payment now.

E Exercise according to your programme or your ability. Minimum of 3 times a week. Try to get outside every day. Outside with dogs for a few mins as so hot, then later when it cooled - then out watering again tonight.

S Set all your budgets before the start of the month. Food, travel, social, diy, other. Have filled in a lot of the spreadsheet but it is still a wip, will add rest. More to add tomorrow, then need to take stock as cannot possibly need any more food. Nope.

.S Someone, somewhere is worse off than you. Donate to the local food bank or other charity of your choice. Clear some of your clutter and donate the goods to charity. Will be amassing stuff to take to CS as I clear the clutter; also intend to sell better items to pay for hols booked for August. Ironed some stuff ready for photos & charged up tablet for photos. Soon, I promise...don't feel like it now, however DD can't keep up with the demand for her stuff. She has 7 parcels just from todays sales...

E Every day check in is recommended, especially when things go wrong. 28/30 here I am..

You are the most important person in your life. You are your own longest term investment. You matter. Read this and the daily quotes, take on anything you find relevant and helpful, ditch the rest. Reading, learning & inwardly digesting. Help and support on here is the best..progress slow but steady..keep on keeping on. Getting on with the clearing, hopefully it is looking bad before it looks better! Finally did bathroom & had hair done, now challenge is to make sure it doesn't end up a dumping ground again..

    NSD 17 today

Overpaid the mortgage quickly this morning. £70 odd before the normal payment goes out on Sunday.

Another long list of silliness to be done today.

Achieved masses of jobs yesterday, which is good. It is progress. It is moving forwards. I did have to go and lie down at 4.30 though. Slept for an hour. Totally wiped out. Very odd behaviour.

Pants football last night. If that was playing a strong team or playing to win, I am a banana.

    Morning all.

Been a bit spendy here, I bought DS's school shoes for September from M&S, had them delivered so also ordered a present for DD for either birthday or Christmas, bought some running shoes for me and some running tights too. Also paid for both kids to go on a day trip with school to a theme park - £30 each.

apple muncher - I have 2 other Christian books, with the study guides from the same author, she is an American preacher/writer. She backs up with what she writes with bible verses. May not be everyone's cup of tea, but found the books helpful. The book about living plastic free should hopefully help me to reduce the amount of plastic I use. There are a few challenges for July to reduce plastic usage.

Good morning, heat wave is over and back to more traditional Scottish summer.

Payday. Debt paid and savings paid. Today won't a SFD as I paid the MOT, bought a train ticket for August (didn't work properly online to add my bike so I phoned and got the same train £5 cheaper) and we'll pick up an ADSA order.

That order includes a last cider and some chips after which I will go teetotal and eat healthily for at least 6 weeks till the race.

Have a good day and thanks to the volunteers for the next two months

Succumbed to taking advantage of a pizza deal in Iceland today plus Aldi were selling half priced free range chickens. Freezers are now full to the gunnels again. (oh dear!). Still, it'll cut down on the food bill next month (well that's the plan).
Today was pay day for all our income. It changes a bit over the month which makes it a wee bit difficult to calculate sometimes but all ok. Bills are now all paid (apart from some DD which come out at varying times over the month but are all accounted for).
I've hurt my back. So painful when I try to stand up or move. I think it must have been whilst I was playing with the wee ones yesterday. They think I'm just a bigger version of them. Oh well, it was fun splashing!!
Still really hot here but not quite as bad as yesterday. Light dinner again from the freezer (thank goodness or we'd never been able to get what we bought in it).
Have a really lovely weekend everyone. xx
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

A - Will definitely be asking if it is necessary before purchasing. Did everything on my to do list today. Am pleased about that.
J - 18/20 NSD. Was a spend day - food shopping and a few other items. Got a few treats in M&S. Used a voucher that I had, thought I had a lot less on it, but there was more on it and covered the cost of the treats.
U - Will be looking into cupboards etc and make sure I will not buy unnecessary and use what already in. Used mostly what I had in.
    N - No need today.
E -Have to make a special effort to more healthy eating. Could do better. Had crisps and cake as a treat.
    O - Will do.
D -Savings sorted out for the month.
E - Walked around doing shopping errands and to and from tube station to where I had to attend a volunteer training and pick up uniform.
S - Have set my budgets.
S - All done for the month now.
    E - Checked in.
Y - The usual mindfulness colouring, reading, wordsearch. Feeling really positive about what I achieved today. Having an early night again.

Today I am grateful for us all having time off work/school together, for dd's choice of activity being to go to the main library in town, for the sunshine, for the paddling pool, for paying some more off the mortgage, for a lovely bath after my workout, for dh earning a little money.
